Kind of a weird time to announce this. Isn't it past working hours in the U.S. atm.

'Working round the clock' as they've been saying. To be fair, more power to them, looks like they've put it up ASAP.

Still currently unable to log into station. It's not even giving me an error message either though. Just an eternal login phaser.

Can't be high traffic can it?

Nah not on the West Coast.  It's only 4 PM PST at the moment, and that announcement came from San Diego.  I have no idea if they have offices there, but I assume so.

In other SOE news, the  vice president of development just quit yesterday and joined Zynga:

He was responsible for the team that created DCUO and ran SWG.  While it appears that game service is being restored, things are still looking pretty bad for them.

Why does this look different then the normal SOE update page we been seeing? The Fonts different, all looks different then the others. Would be funny if the hackers got in to change that message.

I can't think of any reason why SOE would post that there first without updating facebook and other media of it first. The time line sounds a bit off to me, but hey SOE might be thinking out of the box on this one.

mmm.. lets see if they are actually willing to start bringing servers back up.  According to this, they still aren't quite ready, and really shouldn't bring them up yet.

Seems like they may still have a bit to go.

Welcome to a month ago. His leaving to go to Zynga is old news - about a month old, actually.

I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play.

Wow, I just logged in. The first thing the system did was make me reset my password. I checked my subscribed games and I have 45 days time added to every SOE game I've ever played... even the ones I only did the free trials on. I had no active subs with SOE before this happened. I guess they really are trying to compensate customers for their little security fiasco. I also had a link on my account page to sign up for one year of free ID theft protection.... I wasn't even a paying customer at the time all this happened!!! LOL

Edit: The ID Theft protection isn't available until May 16th (tomorrow). Just thought I'd add that for anyone interested

Why does the link contain .vm? shouldnt it contain .org or .com something like that..... could that be why others said they were getting garbel on the screen.

Okay not that I am a big sony fan or anything but some serious questions.

Sony is back up but I found this.

    http://tinypic.com/r/1ryc02/7 Apache Error?

I also found some other various tags messed up with their subscription options.

I decided as I never played sony games for years anyways to take a look at some of their games I have never played, and saw snapshots of the games on Google, and honestly they need to design new games, Ever Quest 3, Vanguard 2, SWG 3, because their games are so out dated MMORPG Wise they just need improvements all of them.

Planet Side could have been a great game, but Global Agenda finished that off.

SWG was good, but SWTOR will finish that game off.

Okay so good news is that sony is back up, I bet all its customers are happy, but.

    1. Where are the people responsible for the hacking of sony? Never found? No News?

    2. Sony lost 22 Million USD in subscriptions O.o? Thats a lot of damage?

    3. How long until sony goes down again? The big question, or was the person who did such already caught?

Meh I dunno I just am not going back to sony for quite awhile I might have free game time there on two or so games but meh I want to see improvements, and know that sony will do what is right to, and for the customers and that they are not going to get hit again, meanwhile I am playing games at.
