Maybe LoTRO for the high budget end. Sure, there's the cash shop but you can earn cash shop money through in game play so money isn't really needed, but is a nicety, even if you end up paying a little it won't be recurring. EQ2X has a lot of content as well but you may need to spend a little here and there.

I don't see EVE on that list.  Is that one of the 1000 more you can list, or have you actually not tried it?  You can easily sink years into it, especially if you get caught up in the player politics and story that is constantly evolving one way or another.  If you really immerse yourself in it, it might be a good one for you.  Worth a shot?  Just a suggestion.

EDIT: Sorry. Didn't see you were looking for something totally free, but....EVE can BE free since you can buy time with isk, I believe. It's been a while since I had time to play, so I'm not active anymore, but I'm sure someone around here can tell you how to buy your game time in EVE without cash cost.

    Eve.

you can buy ingame time with in game currency (plex). so basically you just have to play lost so you can make lots of plex to pay for your subscription.

if not you'll just have to wait for GW2.

ever thought you may be getting bored of mmorpgs?

i mean if you'v tried as many mmo as you say you have and still are looking for something else you might be just looking in the wrong place. try something else entirely.

I love Mmo's, they mostly just copy each other, which is why i need something. maybe ill buy Guild Wars. i love GW, but i cant play it cause i forgot my account and shit.

I go through the I'm bored with MMORPGs phase every so often. To me I just have to take a break and stop playing them. Mostly becaause when you break it down tey are all the same, just different skins/themes. Yea you may have a combat variation such as with DDO etc but when you break down a MMO they all tend to be pretty much the same. So if you have played a lot of of them you have played the same thing over and over just with a different skin or setting so to speak.

Why not just get an air freshener that is infused with the scent of Freshly Opened Game Box?  It sounds like there aren't any games that would fit your conditions out at the moment.

Have you played Freelancer? It's a single player space combat game with alot of free servers usually with mods. The game is divided into solar sistems but there is no limit to how many players there are in one.Teritory control, trade, gulds, guild wars all that stuff.Only downsize is that you need to buy the game.

. When I am not playing a mmo and am on mmo-break I usually play Game Tap a month or two before going back. That way I get variety .. then realize how much regular games lack compared to whichever current mmo im playing.

As for regular rpg, Gametap has Freelancer. As well as some other very good rpgs.

I remember actually enjoying Rappelz a long time ago. Was one of my first games, probably a super grind fest though.
