To be honest, I enjoy tanks, I have not played in a while tho been playing to much wow, that aside I would have to say that I am no sheep, unlike the majority of people here, so unless any of you can link a screen shot, or proof that these conversasions took place, I will chock them up to hot air and ignore them.
Something I think people should be aware of is that not everything you read on a forum is true, people need to screw their brains in a little tighter and develope and original thought once in a while instead of just sucking up every random bit of verbal crap they read on forums.
So in short : screen shot or it didnt happen.
there is a screen shot listed in the OP, there is more then enough posts from people who say they are mods and people telling you that they are mods. some times sticking your head in the sand doesnt make the world a happy place. also calling every who post on forums liers until they can prove something isnt productive.
I'll follow up with one more post on this with a real example of what goes on with the WoT Devs/Mods.
Wotplayer: Something seems to be wrong with the higher tier German tank destroyers as I am being spotted by the enemy before anyone even when I am hiding in a bush on the other side of the map behind my teammates.
WotDEV/MOD: You don't know how to play the game, learn to drive a TD before you complain.
WotPlayer: I have played over 2000 battles in the German tank destroyers, and I am telling you that something seems wrong with the way the higher level German TDs are being spotted.
WotDEV/MOD: Again learn to play, stop complaining or you will get a 5 day ban.
Then someone hacked the data file and found out the tank specs and posted them for people to see. They show that the higher tier German tank destroyers have almost no camo (hide) ability. The person that posted the info and anyone that linked or even talked about it is banned.
Then in general chat in game (No exaggeration on this),
Wotplayer: Why are people being banned from the game/forum when all they are trying to do is help with beta? People have been saying something was wrong with the higher German tds camo and now we find we have been lied to all this time about it. why?
WotDev/mod: Are you some Nazi? Why is it all you want to do is drive German tanks?
Yeah, just wow.
lmao! wtf. ive had no bad experience with WoT and ive been impressed with the mods from what ic=ve seen but this just begs belief.
If someone is talking in general chat in a language you dont understand, chances are they're not talking to you. So chill out and stop bitching about it!

i figured people could figure this out on their own but if i must.... NO such conversation has ever taken place between a player and staff in this manner, this is an "example" of the writers belief on how we act. had anyone spoken like this to players even privately, they would be removed/fired.

There were a number of a$$hole mods during beta. The difference it seems were that the ones who were vindictive, forum deleting/editing and ban happy chumps were Euro trash.
Once the servers split into U.S and Euro and we had mostly U.S, based mods the Euro trash went away. You can deny it all you want but there are many people who tried to discuss valid concerns or topics who got banned or post deleted for no real apparent reason other than the mod being a d!ck or a very loose interpretation of the forum rules.

Mods are regular players not developers. There is no doubt to those who actually post something other than fanboi drivel that some of the mods were just plain abusive fanbois themselves.

Thanks for letting us know. I will not, ever, try this game. Awesome info, and good for me that I did not waste any valuable time on this shit of game.

Regardless weather your talking about the OP or some random mod in a bad mood which ever happens to be true, your being very narrow minded if you never try the game.
It's like never going in the water cos some where a shark happend to eat some one, or never flying in a plane cos some where a plane happend to crash.
Dont cut yourself off from a stunningly good pvp game just because some random punter was not happy with it, you always have to try it yourself first, its the single most important golden rule in gaming, trust your own view and experiance not others.

"stunningly good", I can't see that anywhere, that's beyond pr-spin (sure you're not a employee?), definitely not seeing that. The "community" is d@mn-near non-existent. There's no communication except idiots screaming "RUSH!", "Attack!", "Forward!". This game answers the question of why to stay away from "pvp" games. Nothing but over-caffeinated, over-sugared, hormonal immature children (not to give children a bad name).
@OP: The game rocks...maybe if you would have spent more time playing it, rather than getting into pissing matches with people, you wouldnt have been banned... Your story in no way should convince people not to play WoT, the game is great for what it is...
The problem with WoT is not the Mods, though some bad apples have gotten into the game, its Wargaming itself.
So far its not a friendy player oriented company. Just looke at all the financil problems they are having. Oh wait, you cant unless you are registered and loged into the forums. Nice way to keep potential players from seeing the problems WoT is having. And there are many
Financil wise:
WoT main site bugged so many players could not get preoder, tickets not answered service in time, no offer to honor those who got tickets in.
Those who could buy gold either kept getting declined, but money being withdrawn, or buying gold and not recieving it.
WoT use third party sites to sell there gold, which is a huge flaw.
There reply time is 12 to 14 business days and much longer, so for many players that did spend money and didnt get gold they go past the 30 days buffer to get refunds.
They have so many tickets in that they have the long response times, just just show that the Wargaming is doing something wrong.
As for game play wise:
The worst is the invis tank, btw, its you not the game, a tank in front of you disappearing then reappearing is actually you closing your eyes.
Matchmaking system is way off, which gets worse when server pop gets low, and also server pop is lower now then in beta.
classics like speed hacks and other hacks.
False stats, and yes they carried over from beta.
And now seems that the player base is getting frustrated and player on player abuse had greatly increase.
WoT is still very playable. I still enjoy it. But seems that Wargaming is treating its NA player base like a redheaded step child, ie very badly.
And the new patch, which hopefully will address many issues will still not fix Wargaming itself.
Oh and btw, many pro WoT and Wot employees will strongly fight any negatives againt the game, All the problems seems to be taking a toll on the game. I can no longer promote the game with out people saying that they heard the game has problems

Wargaming as always 100% focused on their home turf, Russia. the NA servers were just a way to jack up the prices and do gold scaling to rack up revenue. This is a russian game that really only seems interested in its home market...right down to the historically inaccurate "russian tank is greatest tank" mentality, which they openly stated as doing as to please their home market. Not sure if they further westernized the tank lineup (i.e balanced them) but i do remember a LOT of players getting their preorder items and gold well after launch, without any response from support though the process.
Also i saw some seriously unproffesional game representatives in chat, asked a GM a simple question in general chat, there was lots of kiddie spam, asked it again, was told not to spam chat by the GM, no answer on my question, even when other people were askins why they didnt answer my simple, game related, question...i was muted for this, and only got a response from a nice individual in private (it was regarding the camo bug and a better description of what the ventalator did exactly) Either way, they were neither moderating chat, or helping players out.
I know the feelings here, they are to me a bunch of socialist brats that try to control free speech, like the so call net neutrality bill that Obama is trying to get passed thru the FCC to control free speech on the internet.
Your ignorance of the subject matter you rant about is astounding. Net neutrality has NOTHING to do with free speech. That is called a red herring. Net neutrality is about putting rules in place that would prevent your provider from slowing down your connection speed to competitors websites and giving faster connections to partners and/or customers websites and services.
So if you wanted to go to your facebook page while having comcast as your ISP, and facebook chooses not to spend money with comcast, comcast could limit the bandwidth you would have available while on facebook and drastically alter your experience. How would you like to play farmville while being restricted to 2 kbps?
So basically, you are saying that you support your ISP blocking/limiting your access to websites and content from people who dont PAY the ISP to allow you access to it. TOTALLY against what the internet was invented for.
Sorry I could not pass over that without responding.
As far as WoT goes, I think its a great game. There are certainly some places where improvements are neccessary, but the patch they put out yesterday did address some of them (while also causing a LOT of additional lag IMO) and considering they are like a 3 man dev team, I think they do pretty well.
actually you should read the net nuetrallity bill, yes it regulates providers from blocking or restricting access but it does alot of things that will cripple the internet.
As for world of tanks, its a great game, the only problem with it is with those from wargaming that deal with the player base. the customer servive and the mods.
The patch made some nice improvements, but brought lag which they will fix as soon as they can.
And once they fix the gold problem and add the big maps to the game WoT should take off in the NA market.
But they really need to get a NA company to deal with NA players wanting to buy gold, other then paypal, that would help out alot.
actually blowing up is good, gets you into another tank to play till you blow up again and depending on tier doing this makes money faster then sitting in a map for full lenght of time
the only thing I don't like is that when you get bown up you don't respawn
This is a good thing, as already there is too much Zerg rush die gamplay mentality.
As to stearing clear of a ultra-casual free to play game, meh.. it's better than many pay to play games currently on the market, and picked up many new trial players when SOE was down.
SWTOR. Face it, in the Scooby Doo Mystery Solving Van of coolness, this game is Velma. In this current MMO climate it has about as much chance for survival as a group of inquisitive teenagers in a 1980s slasher flick. -Tardcore May, 2011
It seems many nations in Europe still have a bone to pick with Germany and will not allow for German tanks to be considered as powerful as they actually where, let alone the fact that Many from Eupore or even further East such as Russia will think of you as a nazi when you try to defend Germany in any way or point out mistakes that benefit anything to do with germany of WWII.
I have been in many arguments with Europeaners or those of further East regions about some of the causes of WWII and why Germany did what they did... it almost always boils down to Germans were evil and should have all died. So either I am talking with the wrong people form Europe, or people from that region and its surrounding regions can not let go of events that are over 60 years in the past.
I would say half of the US are already over 9/11, and that hasn't even been 15 years, let alone the fact that most forgave the Japanes and Germans after WWII was over. Ya we didn't suffer as much at the hands of either, but the animosity is still there.
Wow... just wow. Your random observations are hardly even remotely accurate or even close to being relevant for this topic.
As to the actual topic. I've played for some time now and have had zero problem with any mods/admins.
It's a good game, a nice change of pace and I would suggest everyone to try it before you completely throw it in the bin based on this post.
It's a great game but a pain in the ass to play without a premium account after you got a tier 6-7 tank.
I didn't want to, but I just had to upgrade to premium after I got my Tiger. The credits from each game did rarely make up for the repair cost. However, I've had it for a few days now with all upgrades except the last engines and I'm having a blast.
I know the feelings here, they are to me a bunch of socialist brats that try to control free speech, like the so call net neutrality bill that Obama is trying to get passed thru the FCC to control free speech on the internet.
rofl, hate to break this to you buddy, but you have NO free speech on a private internet forum, or in any of these games, just like in someones house, they make the rules, and if you dont like them? you can leave.
Apparently stating the truth in my sig is "trolling" Sig typo fixed thanks to an observant stragen001.

I've also not had any problems with the game. I play it very casually, and agree with you that it's a great change of pace and quite a bit of fun.
I think people are paying too much attention to insignificant things. I've been playing for a while, and I had a few arguments with players but never got banned or anything.
I started with Russian tanks but I ended up liking German tanks a lot better (in all areas). L2P. I dunno about the American tanks (Americans had tanks?), but the Russian and German tanks seem to be quite balanced to me.
Wargaming.net is not even a Russian company. o.O
Play the game if you like the game and don't play if you don't. I find it very quick fun, and I don't center on having a high tier tank or something so the whole F2P model doesn't bother me at all, I like killing those gift tanks even. Telling people to avoid it because of some silly drama you had with some people is just stupid.

actually blowing up is good, gets you into another tank to play till you blow up again and depending on tier doing this makes money faster then sitting in a map for full lenght of time
This is a good thing, as already there is too much Zerg rush die gamplay mentality.
-Tardcore May, 2011
Wow...
However, I've had it for a few days now with all upgrades except the last engines and I'm having a blast.

rofl, hate to break this to you buddy, but you have NO free speech on a private internet forum, or in any of these games, just like in someones house, they make the rules, and if you dont like them? you can leave.
Apparently stating the truth in my sig is "trolling"
Sig typo fixed thanks to an observant stragen001.
I've also not had any problems with the game. I play it very casually, and agree with you that it's a great change of pace and quite a bit of fun.
Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.
