Okay i sent in a ticket and waited for a day so look at the ticket.....

I exceed all the system requirements by a lot and i have a Radeon 5670 graphic card and when I play rift I get differnt colored flickers and light flickers and i have tryed everything to stop it . it can not be my graphic card cause it works with every other game on max graphics no matter what the game is. The only reason I even quit playing Rift was for this problem and then i am trying the 7 day free trail and the problem is still there.

I Have a Flicking Issue When i play rift i have a Radeon 5670 Graphic Card and when I play Rift i get Red and Black Flickers and lines acorss my screen and I have tryed everything to stop it.  I possbily can not be my Graphic Card as I can play Any other Mmorpg Game I play such as Wow and Age of Conan and Fallen Earth and many other mmo's with out this problem.

This was the Response.....

I can understand your frustration with these video issue and I'm more than happy to be of assistance. The issue you are experiencing may be due to the video settings in the game set higher than what your system can handle. I would suggest lowering the video settings for the game to see if this has any effect on this issue.

To do this, click on the Menu button within the game and then select Settings from the menu. In the Settings window, click on the Video option on the left side of the window and then click Advanced underneath it. In the Advanced Video options, move the Quality Preset slider all the way to the left to where it is set to Min. This will lower the video settings to the lowest possible settings. Try playing the game like this for a while to see if the problem continues to occur. If the problem no longer occurs, you will want to try moving the Quality Preset slider back to the right and test each setting to find the best balance of video quality and performance.

Before you start saying I was a troll I want you to know I have played Rift for a while now I just wanted to know if anyone else has got this problem?

Do you have the latest driver for your card installed?  Do you have something running in the background?  When you say surpassed, is that the recommended requirements or the minumum?

Also did you try turning down the graphics like they suggested to see if that fixed the problem, I know a 5670, should be more then capable of running Rift at max settings, but to confirm if it is a card/driver issue I would try turning down the settings.

Nope, They just have terrible support for ATI.

During beta i saw very interesting/shocking screen glitches and frame rates.... which for me were mostly ironed out at the end of beta but i beleive that their client doesnt support ati to the best of its abillity.

Edit: This didnt just happen to me, many of the testers in beta running ati ran into the same issues.

    Card: Ati HD 5770.

Try diffrent driver versions? latest isnt always the best with ati...

I'm using crossfire with 2 4870's and I have no problems, I dont have everything all maxxed out I have it set for the best look/performance to where I keep a solid 60 frames for the most part in large rifts i will drop sometimes to the mid 30s to 40s but other than that it is synced at 60 frames and I'm experiencing no "flickering" or color changes on my game, while the game may not optimize an ATI card to its full potential i'm using a ati/amd set up and am not experiencing the same issues.

edit: I'm on the 7 day free trial and I did the last beta before launch as well, so I havent put to much into the game yet. I am liking it though and its a shame you are experiencing these issues.

IDK man, I was playing on a 4850 in beta and a 6850 for a while when i bought the game and I never had any problems like you speak of.  6850 had a fan problem so I got tired of ATI and now I'm on Nvidia..  I would just make sure all drivers are up to date and if that doesnt' work I guess you could go the Nvidia route.    Hope you can figure out the problem.

well, there is a shiny new ati driver just out, so give it a shot. I know it has helped performance a lot for people who had tried the last one.
