Just got an mail from Funcom:
"Age of Conan is three years old! To celebrate the anniversary we have opened your account for free play until the end of May! All you have to do is log in and start playing! In addition there are great subscription offers and gifts for subscribers!!

Yeah I was thinking about downloading and patching it to see if it's still fun. I mean 2 weeks of free time? Thats pretty cool.
I am going to play again. I always liked the game, just wish more people played it. I'm still convienced that more then half of the people dont play it because there computer stinks

Wooot I got some improvements on my comp and was thinking on trying Aoc on it... nice timing, installing now.
When I checked my account it still said closed and unplayable. However, I was able to log in to the game and play.

I was very surprised to read this, I'm waiting on the new PVP server, but I've just installed the game and I'm happily taking advantage of the free play until the end of this month!

gonna give it one last look around til the end of the month of my ol cimmeria server.
I played the reactivation this weekend. It was still pretty boring. Khitai is still a major grind, theyve added very little content. Rerolled a new class with some guild mates and running through tortage for the umpteenth time with a huge grind ahead of me, had me logging off after an hour and not wishing to play any more. There is just nothing to do in AOC.
I had the same exact experience. Khitai is just a stupid Korean developed grind fest, so unless you are going to play like a 13 year old Korean, there is absolutely no reason to even go there.
No new content in the original world (Which is a thousand times better than the expansion world).
There really is just nothing to do. Hell if they just had some Random Epic Mobs scattered around the world it would be more engaging and fun than any of the so called "Content".
It is the most beautiful game on the market...unfortunately it is also the most boring game on the market....
