Ermm. Is this a re-release? I have the CD for Hellgate:London from when they were live before.
New compnay bought the game and are releaseing F2P with item shops i believe.

Kind of a confusing beta sign up, I wouldn't reccomend using a ISP email like comcast. It wouldn't send to that, but a gmail was instant.
not sure what im missing but, after i put in my key, it says your courage has been noted (pop up) but still no client download that im seeing.
any help would be appreciated- thanks.

The Closed beta does not start until june 3rd. This is just closed beta registration. And it is a very poor one, yes. But for a lot of us hellgate lovers it's better than nothing.

Sorry took a bit to understand.
I don't think the client can be downloaded until we get closer to when the beta starts. All they give is a coming soon dialog box when clicking on the client.
For those of you not seeing the pop-up when trying to add the key, it wouldn't work for me with Google Chrome, however it did with IE and I didn't know it at first. With IE, after you temporarily allow the pop up and click on the icon, minimize all screens you have up. The pop up actually pops up behind all the screens you have up. Hope this helps.

Ok I have figured this out.
As for downloads. It starts june 3rd, expect it closer to that date.
One registered if you click gates of hell at the top right, or have a key at the bottom right, you will be able to either click apply or go. (this is a pop up window, bot IE and FF block them by default)
Apply means you are applying from their site with no key (it's a 50/50 shot). So even if you didn't get a key, go register and hit apply and hit apply on that screen. If you see your courage has been noted, you're in.
If you enter a key, hit go, and it's a 100% chance.
I hope this helps someone, it is very confusing, and very poorly implemented.

Everyone who missed this can still register and hit the apply button for a 50/50 shot at getting in. Don't give up. Also they have stated several sites will be giving keys out.
