The Funcom team over at Age of Conan have reason to celebrate, Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures turned three years old! And to celebrate the occasion, AoC is letting you in on the benefits. Check out all of the events coming to Age of Conan by the end of May and take full benefit of the event.

This is to you who dont understand this message. The link I sow you can log in to you AoC account and play all you charracters all of mai for free. Do not misout on this free offer. The faster you start patching the more time you can play game.

I dont think some xp potions will lure many people back , AoC normally offers a couple of free weeks in the summer anyway . So i guess I wait till they for my annual return the game . (same thing with Warhammer )
The potions to "celebrate" the event were pretty lame. They expire within 12 days if you don't pick them up and really, it's not much of a reward at all.
Even the contest they are doing is just the game everyone already has or possibly some gametime. Uninspiring really.
It's a great game, but they just don't seem to be able to pull off a nice player event like other companies can.

In that same linked page the following is said:
'Also if you are a former player with an inactive account you can join the celebration! We have opened your account for free play until the end of May! All you have to do is log in and start playing'
If I read this correctly, then this means that every former AoC gamer can play the game freely until the end of the month. That's worth more than just some XP potions that you get when you've an active account and would've been a lot better as news article. A slip up from mmorpg.com imo.

Unfortunately it doesn't let you test the Godslayer content. I was hoping for a sneak peek to decide upon re-subbing.

This used to be my favorite game so when I saw that it's free play until end of month I jumped on it. I have a new system anyway running windows 7 so I was really looking forward to seeing how the graphics have improved. Loggin in I was vastly disappointed that the game is very choppy for me now. It makes it unplayable. Such a shame, I wanted to re-sub but with all the choppines...I'm out.
@marzatplay ; Funny, I just have a "old" core2duo win 7 ati 5770 and it runs perfectly for me. guess you just got a premade brand pc that looks nice but holds a cheap cake videocard.
na, it's custom made:
Pentium dual core 3.20Ghz 4GB ram and Nvidia GTS 450 (1GB). No idea what's wrong.
If you are having problems with running the game after the uppdated game engine, try with higher settings. I know it sounds stupid, but there is alot of people that are having problems due to using old settings with the improved gameengine.
Age of conan was very sad last time I tried it the armors sitll look like crap compared to what my collectors edition art book shows in it which is just really sad otherwise I would play AOC and enjoy it but it isn't as brutal as they said it was really nor does it look as nice not to say all the graphics bugs when using max graphics and DX10 mode lol.
Have you tryed the game after the new gameengine, the graphics is as good ore better than all other MMORPG out there atm, 3years after lanch. You need the hardwear to run the game at is fulll with no problems tho. There is alot more areas to be opened in the nearfuture, more news about that will follow in nexst week after q1 presentation is done on wensday.
