I'm looking for a game, where you have a character or pet, where you build it up to fight against other people's character's or pets.
Things like, Gladiators or Mechs or Monsters or anything else really the type of combatant isn't important. Games like Pokemon, Neopets, etc.
NO Browser Based Strategy games, where you build up an army and fight it against someone else's army. I am looking for either single characters or a small group of individually managed characters.
I'm not looking for an MMO. More along the lines of a browser or multiplayer flash game.

League of Legends... maybe doesnt encompass all your criterea but a very fun game. check it out if you havnt already and give it a chance.
Mechs are irrelevant, I just remember seeing a couple games a few years ago that used mechs. I'm just looking for something along lines of Pokemon, where you have turn based combat with a character you build up and battle with other people in turn based combat.
I've played a couple over the years, but I'm sure they are all dead by now.
I really don't care what kind of creature/machine/thing you have, honestly.
I'm working on a similiar game for Android, and I'm just wanting to play some others so I can get more ideas of what I could do with it. I already have a strong idea, but it never hurts to draw ideas out of a larger pool. Plus, I haven't played one in a long time.
Speaking of which, I wouldn't mind Android or iPhone games either.

That's a pretty neat little game.
Unfortuantely, it's not really what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something that is focused a little bit more on actually using your pet in combat and adjusting your pet.
Basically, Pokemon Battles, with more depth.
I ran into one on Facebook, but it's the most laughable excuse for a game I've ever seen in my entire life.
