SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

The Rift Podcast team has let us know that the final installment of the popular series has now been deployed. For the final podcast, the team is joined by Scott Hartsman and Cindy ‘Abigale’ Bowens to discuss all that has transpired to this point and what the team plans for the future. The group also walks down the Rift Podcast memory lane.

We also reminisce about the podcast origins and touch on some pertinent subjects for the future of the game:

  • The path of Rift and the Podcast

  • Guild Banks

  • Server Transfers coming soon

  • Dungeon Finder tweaking

  • Not necessarily the end, just a goodbye

  • Haha Rapture

We’d like to thank everyone for all their support. Each and Every person at Trion who helped us make this podcast, every fan who ever was and whoever downloaded and listened. Thank you for being a part of this journey.

Listening to these 2 over the last 10 podcasts or so really made it evident that they were losing interest...much like myself. I know they said it wasn't because of lack of interest in the game, but you could hear it. I wish Arithion and gang the best. Thanks for the entertainment.

Not a very good sign.  Especially with all the other indicators suggesting the game is declining rather quickly.

It is for medical reasons of the host, has nothing to do with anything regarding the game. Go bark up anothe tree.

A big factor for why I lost interest in Rift was cause they basically made a copy of WoW and WAR but didn't change issues that players have with those games. Why copy a game and keep the previous games flaws?

I see the populations on my two servers going up! I'm in love with this game! Keep up the good work, devs!

    Well, that was quick!

All I see is activity everywhere. I've never played on an MMO that was this full of people.

The game is not losing subs  and there's tons of people playing. I'm not trolling or speaking as a fanboi. However to say a game has all the other games flaws and not list said issues doesnt give any food for thought. That just comes across as trying to stir things up. There seems to be a general trend where people will just post things without any proff of the claims they make.

You must not have played many mmo's I take it.

Djnexus you just gave a perfect example of what i stated. "You must not have played many mmo's I take it." In what you just wrote it shows no examples. It only serves to cause grief as a statement. And for the record off the top of my head. I played ultima online when it launched till t2a. shadow bane. world of warcraft. eve. Age of conan. Everquest 1 and 2. Global agenda. Runes of magic. Aion. star wars galaxies. And Vanguard. Mind you those are ones off the top of my head. And just for the record they are not trial accounts.  The reason i added those games to my response was you stated without any forethought as to what i might of played or do play. A constructive response that is thought out will get you much further than a statement like "You must not have played many mmo's I take it."

well, compared to the Aion podcast they started and then bailed on, they actually stuck with this one for a decent amount of time (and at least said goodbye).

These girls don't stick with games they are bored with and, tbh, why should they?

Give it 3 months and they will probably have a Archeage one goin ;)

Great podcast, sorry to see it end. Wish them well. They have been very gracious to mention RIFTNation on a couple of their podcasts which gave a spike in memberships on both occasions. Take care you two. See you around.
