Should I Buy WoW?

I have thinking about buying WoW for a very long time.But now I dont know sure should I buy WoW,because Guild Wars came and it is monthly free.Now you WoW players tell me should I buy WoW and pay for it,or should I buy Guild Wars? I mean is paying worth of it?

Although i no longer play WOW, i'd say that it's definatley a better choice than Guild Wars. Both games are a lot of fun and enjoyable. But WOW will last you longer, GW's appeal was fairly short lived and the community is immature and childish too the extreme. WOW on the other hand is an immersive world that has a reasonable lifespan in terms of keeping interest.

If you do decide to play GW make sure that you find a good guild fast and turn off all the chat channels apart from your guilds, you'll enjoy the game more if you do.

Thanx so much for information about the diference between WoW and GW. Im going to buy WoW. But Where i can get it very cheap. The cheapest WoW i found is 40 euros and it is almost the as 40 dollars. But is there anyway to get it more cheaper than that. And the BIG problem i don´t have credit card, and i´m under 18. Is there anyway to get credit card this young..? (Asking stupid again)

I know that there are game time cards available.
In most stores near me i've seen them for sale. Credit card is not necessarily needed.

But yeah, most games these days (MMORPG or otherwise) are geting to be an ouch price wise.

I have been playing WOW up to lvl 60 and personaly, if I had to do it again I will not do it at all.

The only nice thing about wow are the graphics.

You waste lot of time moving from one point to the other around the world to kill the next mob.

PVP model is pretty uncompensated as you die from people you can no kill when you are low lvl. It is true that problem dissapear when you reach lvl 60 but I personally do not enjoy killing low lvls so, the only "fan" comes doing raids, and then, the lag makes it usually un-playable.

And if you send suggestions or requests to their support people, you never get an answer.

So, I decided to close my account and move to Guild Wars. Graphics are worst that wow, but the rest seems to be better (anyway I am too new there to give an opinion jet)

By the way, when you ask to close the account they try to convence you not to no it They should use those efforts trying to help people which is currently playing instead of doing it when they have decided to leave.

I don´t wanna buy pre paid game card because it is too expensive. It is almost 25 dollars in here and u can only play 60 days. I say it is too much for 60 days, with credit card it is a lot more cheaper!!

Dude if u can gget the prepaid for 25 bucks for payment of 2 monthes ur getting a good deal. Lol it would cost u 30 bucks for credit card 2 monthes. Plus the game card is more convinent. Credit Card payment is kind of a scam that lot of MMOs do. Plus if ur not gonna enjoy using a credit card or don't want game card, i say don't play games with monthly fees then. You might as well stick with Guild Wars. Though WoW can be more fun but i suggest GW since u sound like you won't pay the monthly fees.

25 dollars is more expensive than 30$ for the same time frame? Although you can subscribe longer with a card and it will cut down on some of the price but still....would seem the same to me. Not sure what math your doing to arrive at your conclusions or where you use your card that makes it cheaper than that.

In here finland WoW is only 12,5 euros per month and the prepaid game card is 25 euros. So thats why i want credit card. Here credit card payment is cheaper than the prepaid game card xD

ok how old r u? it doesn't sound like u can't get a credit card. You sound way way way way tooo much like someone who could only afford Guild Wars since u can't get a credit card. In America the pre paid are pretty good and reasonable. Well if u really want WoW i suggest u just try to get the prepaid cards. Or i suggest Guild Wars cause it is all i bet u can afford.

You dont make any sense. You said you could pay 25 for 2 months on gamecard or 12.50 a month by credit card. So how is either one cheaper than the other? Unless you just want to play only 1 month.

Guild Wars is entirely focused on PvP. World of Warcraft has very little PvP.

I would factor in your enjoyment of PvP in your decision.

WORLD OF WARCRAFT.......

And i pay it whit credit card,because rhose pre paid game cards are out of stock always.

Thanx for the info about the goods and the bads of WoW, I really need those to decide,but now it is decided....

Then...Horde Or Alliance, I have tried both and dunno yet should i take horde or shall i go to the light side with alliance.

Alliance got the mage,thats the best alliance class. And 2nd best Alliance class is Paladin.(just an opinion)

Two best horde classes are: Warlock and Shaman.(just opinion)

Or should i make both,alliance and horde.(just opinion)

Alliance´s best char is night elf or dwarf.(just opinion)

Horde´s best char is UnDead.(just opinion)

What side you guyz prefer??

And how i make thiese colors work in these forums?? (asking stupid again)

well i've only played it for a short time but i say try them all.

i like Tauren hunters and the mage guys the best.

but on Alliance side, humans and dwarfs are good too.

it's best to play through Horde or Alliance side first , see all there is to see, than switch sides.

that way it wont get boring as fast because it will be a complete change of scenery.

Guild Wars is extremely linear.... no real substance. If you want a game that isn't much more than an FPS in Medival Mode, then this is the game for you.

World of Warcraft has everything that Guild Wars does and much much more.

Nope, You should not play WOW, ever, not ever. Just stay away, run for your life away from this game and dont look back, go play cards or count stars or go to bars but Do Not Play WOW.

If your looking fo a great game to play for 2-3 months , then WoW is probably for you. However if you play 20+ hours a week or are planning on plying for 4+ months, then you should look for something like EQ2. WoW is a casual players game. Its meant for people to play in their spare time.

And if you do get this game then have fun during it. If you level from1-60 in a week or 2 like some people, then your going to hate this game as much as they did. But if you look for quests and just explore alot, then you can have fun with this.

Okay first. I can play only few hours in day. I like exploring and doing quests im not a guy who grinds for bigger lvl, i want that the levels come by making quests and killing enemys in quests, for me the level doesnt matter, only the quests and the exploring are important. Grinding is bad idea,who wants to be lvl 60 in one week? i think i am lvl 60 @ 4 months or more,because i don´t wanna get the cap soon. If you got the cap too soon there is nothing intresting in the game anymore.
