So far only box sales, no digital option yet.
Actually I picked up a copy of the game for 15$. I'm installing it now. Is it still free? do I need a credit card to still play? or can you ignore the billing process during free play...

Still need a credit/debit card. But yes, it is still free (buy to play).
actually I got around the credit card/debit issue... I payed with crystals, didn't have to give any info for billing... mind you it seems I only have 2 character slots, not sure if that's the norm
Everyone is automatically credited enough of the "crysta" currency to activate their account.
Nobody has had to show SE so much as the expiration date of their credit cards. Nevermind that S-E has shown every intent to accept payment through those "any game" prepaid cards like Ultimate Game Cards.
Because of that whole botched release thing, you know.
S-E have shifted from fixing what they did wrong, to adding new things to make a meh product deserving of the hype they had built up last year. Expect good things now, they are actually coming.
