Don't trade it iin yet. Dust 514 comes out at the end of this year or early next. And Jeff Strain is making an Xbox 360 only open world zombie-survival MMO.
Having played DCUO, I have to agree that this is the best development for TSW. The way CCP is taking on the subject for Eve (and possibly the WOD MMO in the future) seems to be the best route to me.

Definately good. Being multi-platform with consoles means the game will be dumbed down because of dumb and slow controlls of consoles, will be less graphicsworld rich because of limited console hardware etc etc.
The only exception if they'd actually make 2 versions of the game with different servers

If you really like MMORPG's, I suggest you invest in a PC. I'm sorry, but it's a fact that consoles will always be one step behind, plus you can use it for a lot more things as well. Examples: learn a new language, write a book, video editing, need I go on?
I am so glad they aren't releasing this a the xbox/ps3 crowd at the same time. That is what killed DCUO in such a short time I think. Games should be one or the other, not both.

Square Enix said a while back that Microsoft is the root caust for MMOs in the 360 not being feasible, due to inherent systems conflicting with Microsoft's "rules" for games. That includes frequency of updates (Microsoft internally vets all patches before allowing them) and price of content updates (Microsoft wants them to cost money), among other factors. They also admitted that the only reason Final Fantasy XI made it onto the 360 was due to Live being in its infancy at the time and Microsoft not having set up the rules that they have now.
PS3 doesn't have the same rules, that's why you see MMOs like DC Universe, MAG, Free Realms on the PS3, with Final Fantasy XIV coming at some point as well as other games (Huxley I believe). The Agency was planned for PS3, and I think Sony wants Everquest Next to be on a console as well as Planetside Next.
if this game came out on the 360 it would almost have to be a free to play game since you have to pay for xbox live. DCUO was not a complete failure , if i remember right it was the fastest selling mmo game when it was released. The only thing thats holding the game back is the lack of content. the gameplay and graphics are excellent on the ps3. I hope Sony brings EQ2 Extended onto the Ps3. I think the whole issue with microsoft and mmos is Live, and the fact that microsoft is more into the fps genre.
Im glad they focus on PC don't wanne play a game again that have typical use of keyboard becouse it have also console in mind and a gameworld that also shows its designed to handle console. But ill judge when i have played it would not be first time a company says its PC focussed and still feel like a cheap console port. Newer developers dont even know anymore what a typical PC game should be hehe.
I know FunCom said they were going to release AoC on the 360, but did they ever actually do it? No, they ended up canceling it, and I can see the same fate with TSW as well.
