Iceberg Interactive has announced that it has inked a deal with Masthead Studios to distribute Earthrise worldwide. In addition, the price has been reduced to 29.99 Euros or about $43 USD and the upcoming "Territorial Warfare" expansion will be free to all players. Territorial Warfare is expected to be released later in June for both boxed and digital versions of the game.
Updates and patches
As is often the case with MMO games, Masthead Studios has also been perfecting and improving Earthrise to a great extent since its initial launch in February this year. Included in the updates to date are greatly improved server stability and network performance, decreasing lags and improving FPS gameplay. Furthermore, various new and player-requested features have been added, such as auto-stacking, exploration awards and shared party experience. On top of this, the crafting process and the PvP and PvE balance have been further enhanced. A more detailed list of improvements can be found here.

Iceberg is the distributor for Earthrise since day one allready, but only for the boxed version. You can still purchase the game directly from Masthead tho, if you're fine with a digital download.
So this is no news, but 4 month old information.
I'm not so sure they should be showcasing certain features they left out initially and added later because of user request, that is a standard in mmo games. For example auto-stacking. Shouldn't have needed to be a requested feature.
I really wanted this game to succeed and was going to see it through, until the vocals cried for minimap quest pointers. When they announced they were going to basically show you where to go to complete each step of the quest, it started taking a step away from sandbox and toward theme park. Which got me to realize that they are listening too much to the vocal few and are going to end up turning it into a theme park style game and that is not what the original vision was and not what I wanted to play.
I have this feeling that even with territorial warfare, they aren't going to make it through. It's just now getting to the point where it should have been on release (and it's not quite there yet).

The pen is mightier than the sword, and authority is mightier than the pen, but the sword is mightier than authority.
If you can't beat 'em, hold 'em off 'till you come up with a better plan.
If they got rid of the box price and kept the subscription they might get some subs.
Fact is, unless you're putting major cash and effort into your game: IE: WoW, SWTOR, etc, you don't really deserve to ask such a steep price.
Look at The Realms Online. The game is free to play. It has an item shop, though I have to admit, other than wanting a permanent mount (a one time purchase with unlimited use), I have not felt the need nor obligation to spend any real money. I'm enjoying the game immensely and the GM's are constantly online, ready to lend a hand. Is it of the same caliber as WoW polish wise? Nope, but it's not far off either. It feels to me almost like the old EQ days but with better UI and quest system as well as better graphics.
I'd love to try Earthrise, but not for $30 plus a subscription, it's simply not worth it. Charge me $10 for a month and you might get me to look at it. Give me a 15 day free try (and a FULL free try, now this island crap) and I'll definately give you a look.
@Binny45 -- Really, you dare compare " the Realm Online " to anything related to Everquest? You think the graphics and UI is better in the " The Realm Online" than Eq ? REALLY?
--- You mean "Realms Online" , not " The Realm Online". Huge diffrence between the two and the cause of my intial horror.
Carry on .
Still cannot believe that they can charge 43 USD for this game. From their site is says it's 30 USD, I am guessing that is digital. I got burned by Xyson, no way would I put money into this game. This game will not last this year I believe, I just don't see how they can be making any money. I can't imagine many people are playing the game, seeing as the last post in their General Discussion forum was almost three days ago. On their forums right now, it says 1 active user and 28 guests. So maybe they have 100 people playing the game?
@Koddo; unfortunately, there were never really any sandbox features in this game. Yes the game had FFA pvp and a rather large list of stuff to craft, however the game as released was basically just a huge third person shooter map.
All the bad things you've heard about this game are probably true and will continue to be so for the foreseable future.
Honestly, it was a lot of fun to play, but I'm not sure there's an actual "game" since the content wasn't lacking: It was non-existent.
The real downer is how slow they move to fix and improve the game, it took 2 months to get autostacking and you were lucky if it didn't eat half of your items in the process! It emptied my bank and afaik that support ticket is still opened but I haven't heard back in my email since I left the next day
Stay away! Go play Diablo II for all I care, don't throw your money away on this.
Auto-stacking, shared party experience... improvements? Try features that should be automatic in any decent MMO. Good to know after all these months of 'improvement' the game may actually be getting close to being viable for launch. Their first expansion will include, "players can now turn left AND right."
Just the exact impression that gives the term "indie", what was once hoped to be a richly unique experience, a crappy snake-oil salesmen kinda experience.
It's absurd they're marketing Territorial Warfare as a "free expansion" considering this was the most prominently advertised central feature of the game during it's three years of development pre-launch.
HAHAHA! Yes, you are correct LOL. That "The" is a sneaky one. I do mean Realms Online.
Please pardon my misplacement of the "The", it will be summarily executed at one! /cocks rifle
I have to say they sure are failing the marketing and PR aspect of MMOs. The price is still $43 too high.
