I have previously played monthly fee required games and i am through with them now...So out of the free games i have played i would suggest
Knight Online: (if you dont want to spend any money at all) Large world, decent graphics, Free, groups, guilds, lots of fighting and AFK merchants and great gms who make events a lot of fun and pvp zones. Only issues are... Its all kill based there no craftings or tradeskills in it. Some people enjoy ksin others.
Guildwars: Free, Wonderful graphics. Great storyline, pvp and gvg. all main fantasy genre classes, lots of quests. And impossible for somone to KS you.
