The purpose of this thread is to allow folks to reveal their main characters, the one (or ones) you'll be playing the most, those you plan on creating when Guild Wars goes live and sticking with. You don't have to use my format, you can use any, and let's try and keep this to just posts about our main characters.

So, here we go!

---

Name: Sinera Mindshaper

Race: Charr

Profession: Mesmer

Faction: Ash Legion

Play-Style: PvE - DPS

Biography: Sinera's always been fascinated by the Mesmer, but preoccupied by the hatred shown toward it by her fellow charr, which she is able to understand. The charr were once enslaved, and you can bet that the leaders of the great clans had some form of brainwashing oing on to fall in with the Flame Legion like they did. This has mostly corralled her into being a more offensive Mesmer, staying out of the minds of her allies, whomever they might be. The rumours she's heard of Queen Jennah's antics have only really reinforced this notion. Yet still she wonders how she could use her talents to hel rather than harm, there are those that suffer, and despite being thick-skinned it's hard for her to always turn a blind eye. Perhaps one day she'll be able to find a way to use her talents for something other than the destruction of the minds of her foes on the battlefield.

Goals: Knowing Sinera? She'll likely end up becoming Tyria's first absolutely no-nonsense psychotherapist. Tough love. 'Tis the charr way.

---

Name: Sarizar Geargrinder

Race: Charr

Profession: Engineer

Faction: Iron Legion

Play-Style: PvE - Field Controller

Biography: At first Sarizar seems your typical Iron Legion charr, he has the usual attitude of "What is this old thing doing here? Do yourself a favour and let us demolish it, we'll build you something much more modern and efficient!" toward outdatedness. But for him it's a focus, he bears no malice toward anyone unless they get in his way, and usually his 'foes' are nothing more than experiments for him to test his latest build designs upon. Sarizar, however, has spent too much time alone with technology and has come to fetishise it in worrying and dangerous ways, sometimes shying from contact with all but his warband, seeming reclusive, always muttering to himself about design problems, and rarely involved in the world around him except for when some brilliant, beautiful piece of charr construction catches his eye.

Goals: Sarizar would like to see the charr take to the skies independently, and has these plans for this incredibly dangerous looking thing called a "rocketpack".

    Curse you!

    Name: Freyja Høthgar

    Race: Norn

    Profession: Ranger

    Totem: Raven

    Play-Style: PvE - DPS/Support

Biography: The daughter of a norn hunter, Freyja and her sisters spent their early years growing up wild in the frozen reaches of the Shiverpeaks. At a young age, Freyja showed a strong affinity to the arts of the bow and arrow. She apprenticed under her father for several years, learning the intracacies of trap making and tracking. Now barely out of her adolecence, she her prowess with her bow has drawn the attention of several prominent Norn, and has garnerened her an invitation to attend the great hunt in Hoelbrak.

    Name: Jasmine and Isabelle Assad

    Race: Human

    Profession: Mesmer & Elementalist

    Class: Nobility

Play-Style: Both PvE/PVP: Jasmine - control, Isabelle - glass cannon

Biography: Born into an old Elonian family that has since immigrated to Kryta and Divinity's Reach, the Assad sisters have become talk of the society circles. When together, the sisters can be found in one of the salons discussing politics or the war effort, they'll be found in the great library of the city, studying, or in one of Divinity's Reach's taverns partaking in a pint of honeyed mead. Though once insperable, the sisters have been growing apart of late. Isabelle has been struck with wanderlust, and has begun trawling taverns for some sort of expedtion to take her away from the great city. Jasmine, however, has become ingraciated in court and it's intrigues, and is rarely seen away from the arm of some dignitary or other powerful man.

    Name: Shiraz Scorchpaw

    Race: Charr

    Profession: Engineer

    Faction: Iron Legion

    Play-Style: PvE - Area Denial/Support

Biography: Scorchpaw is her warband's engineer - an intergral position in the Iron legion's legions. Rarely found without a pair of goggles strapped to her head and a wrench firmly gripped in her paws, she's a true tinkerer at heart. Her Legionnaire would describe her as a brillant enginneer, though her desire to spend more time tinkering and 'improving' the warband's weaponry rather than spend time sparring is a bit off putting.

    (I'm terrible at writing bios :( )

I had a epic bio with a human warrior which was a direct descendent from my main in GW1 which died and became a ghost in the foefire..

But then I changed to Norn and scrapped it =P

I dont have a bio for my Norn, but I have a kind of epilogue, he travels to the north after the fall of the dragons to look for even bigger challenges, far beyond any Norn or know sapient species had been and then he simple...vanishes, his legend being the only thing that says that he existed

    "It sucks"

    Name: Androcles Ashlight

    Race: Charr

    Profession: Elementalist

    Faction: Ash Legion

    Play-Style: Earth Support/Fire DPS - PvP

Biography:  Always a very literal and straight forward Charr, especially given he is of the ash legion, Androcles always enjoyed making and using ash against his enemies.  He has a tendancy to be a noisy (distracting), obnoxious (distracting), and gleefully hard to kill (bothersome).  These properties occasionally infuriate his warband, and they usually employ his talents on the battlefield as a stalking horse, drawing attention from immenantly violent ambushes.

If you ever see him in the mists, be warned that he is not alone...image

Goals: Find a warband that doesn't occasionally head to the nearest tavern and go drinking while he is in the field (leaving him to get his overly wise *** killed).

I used to TL;DR, but then I took a bullet point to the footnote.

I'm going to have two mains but I'll probably try out every race and profession. I'm first going to start off with a Human Elementalist just to kind of continue the legacy of my Elementalist in GW(going to have the same name as well).

Then I'll probably end up making a Sylvari Mesmer. Those two are going to be main ones. But like I said before, I'm probably going to experiment with all the races and professions.

  • AlotAlot Member Posts: 1,948

Let's see... Sylvari Thief, or Ranger, or Guardian, or Elementalist, but probably Necromancer, Human Mesmer and Asura Engineer. I'll think of names and such later.

I have a whole LOT of characters I'm planning on doing, but this reminds me that I wanted to make a Charr for my elementalist too.

Motto will be 'If you can't solve a problem with fire, the problem is you're not using enough fire'.  Yay for fire-fetishist cats. :B

I suck at writing biographies and stuff, don't know if I did it correctly, but here it is:

    Name: PaperMace Proudpaw

    Race: Charr

    Faction: Blood Legion

    Play-style: dps/tank

    Biography:

Being raised within the camps of the Blood Legion, PaperMace quickly tied strong bonds to his warband brothers. While progressing quickly through the ranks and becoming the warband chief, he had become a master of  his weapon of choice, the dual maces. Ever since he was a child he had been using maces and thus gaining his nickname, which he prefers, ''PaperMace''.  An old charr from the Flame Legion and once predicted this and called PaperMace for ''Proudpaw'', meaning that his paw, was one his Legion would always be proud of. The thight bonds within the warband had made PaperMace a caring creature. Not only towards the charrs, but also towards other races. He then devoted his existence to help all races around Tyria.

Goals: As a master of the maces and a great warband leader he wishes to defeat all the dragons, put an end to the great darkness hanging of Tyria and uniting all races! Until then, helping others with their problems, preferably something that involves killing, will be the best training

Motto: "If you respect the skills of your enemy, you'll find their weakness. That's when you bash their heads in!"

    Weaponset 1: Mace/Mace

    Weaponset 2: Mace/Shield

Oh, I love the motto/weaponset additions, that's neat. Wish I'd thought of that.

    Name: Saiph Sadalsuud

Race: Human (Mixed Heritage of Elonian, Krytan and distant Ascalonian/Orrian)

    Faction/Social Status: Street Rat

    Profession: Thief

    Play-style: PVE/PVP-DPS

Weapon Set 1: Main: Sword, Off-hand: Dagger

Weapon Set 2: Main: Sword, Off-hand: Pistol

    Quote(s):

"Luck has everything to do with it!"

"Did you hear him? He called me a thief! Come on! I don't go around saying sword-bloke, bow-lady or fire-man to the whole lot. There is more than just pilfering the odd item or coinpurse to my job."

"By the Stars of Lyss, what now?

"You are the most stunning woman I have ever seen."

    Physical Statistics/Description: Weight: 70kg/150lbs.  Height: 180cm/5'11''  Age: 22

Saiph has a lithe build, more lean than muscular; pointed-nose, almond-shaped blue eyes, high cheek bones, jet black hair and stubble with skin the colour of fresh baked panettone. His clothing consists of a midnight-blue hooded cloak embroidered with purple stars, a sleeveless leather jerkin worn under a handsome white silk tunic, black trousers and Elonian leather boots.  He smells like citrus, sea-air, mint and leather.

Biography: Raised in the Orran Quarter by a Kryto-Elonian family, it was not until he entered adolescence that his parents revealed to him that he was adopted.  Heartbroken but thankful for their help, one night he left the Orran Quarter and his adoptive family behind; he did not want to burden them any longer.  He made his way to the Salma District and made it his home.  Work was hard to find and he turned to larceny and pick-pocketing.  Eventually he joined a gang of other children from Divinity's Reach, however, when the gang became violent and more demanding he left and decided to work for himself.  He became known throughout the Salma District as a smooth talker and fantastic pick-pocket by the age of eighteen and always managed to just avoid the Seraph.  He was given the name "Sadalsuud" by the Elonian and (rare) Orrian groups "the luckiest of the lucky".  Saiph is a proficient fencer, pistoleer and knife-thrower but prefers to work with subterfuge, trickery and charm in situations.  He is bored and restless in Divinity's Reach and wants to go explore the lands that he was told tales about when he was young: the ancient lands in the desert to the south and the newly-risen Orr.

    Goals:

Saiph's goals are to accrue wealth and prestige, two things that have been lacking throughout his young life.  He boasts that he will one day have the finest harem that will make even the ancient Princes of Vabbi jealous but in fact he is looking for the perfect woman to share a life of adventure.  Secretly, he is still pressing on to discover more about his mysterious heritage as well.

Name: Lord Damien Highborne, Sixth Baron Highborne (scion of current GW character)

When he first stepped foot in his farhar he was at the bottom of the food chain but quickly rose to the top with his warband wich he treated more important than anything but not getting too sloppy and letting them go soft. Name: Duncan Crowhand

    Race: Norn

    Profession: Necromancer

    Totem: Raven

    Play-Style: PvE/PvP - DPS

Biography: Duncan was a thin and sickly boy when he was born. His mother and father, seeing he was unlikely to survive, took him out into the snows and left him under a tree to die. He didn't. He was adopted by a murder of Crows who were under the influence of Raven and with the tutelage of the Norn Totem, as well as the harsh lessons about the eventual fate of all living things learned from the Crows scavenging, Duncan grew into a grim and fatalistic boy.

The powers of death came easily to Duncan, and when he was grown into a young man he returned from the wilds to confront his family. Insulting them for abandoning him and judging his strengths only by appearance, he followed up his tirade with deadly force, summoning the powers of death to slay them. He laid the bodies of his mother and father in the snows under the same tree they had abandoned him to and watched the Crows eat their eyes.

Goals: Duncan intends to become the most powerful death-wielder possible, and thus to ensure he is never at the mercy of anyone ever again.
