Any new loot on death MMOGs out/coming out?

Any recently released MMOGs with a rather open PvP system where you can loot the body the killed player?

I havn't heard of any newer than Mortal online. That was a year ago but games like that isn't so common.

There are some games as well that gives you a single item or some other reward but I am guessing you want free for all PvP with full looting.

I am not sure if Archage will have it or not, might be worth to check up since it is in beta now. I do know it have FFA PvP at least but I seems to have missed what kind of looting it have.

Single item is fine as long as that single item equates to something of value lost by the loser.  I am not interested in PvP games where the fight has no concequence on the two players involved.  Items require a time investment by each player to accumulate and they determine wealth.  A loss of an item is a loss of wealth and time by the loser, and a gain of an item is a gain of wealth and time by the winner.  I am looking for a PvP system where the winners gain and the losers lose this wealth and time compenent.  Most new PvP games simply have the gain without the loss so the only loss is the hypothetical loss of not gaining something.

EVE. Player-run economy, resource/territory control and full-item looting (whatever doesn't get blown up). Most corporations (guilds) and alliances require kill-mail posting as well so everybody gets to see what you jacked.

Unfortunately, most people rather run scripted, repetitive content to acquire purple pixels they would rage-quit over losing. Item looting games are a dying breed but EVE, despite having unconventional gameplay, is the best of them.

Yeah I played EVE back in 2003 and have played since then on and off.  I finally got fed up with it.  EVE has a lot of flaws, but its biggest flaw is its movement system and how the players interact with the environment.  If EVE was adapted into a fantasy setting you would have a WoW killer on your hands and probably the best MMOG ever made to date.  As it stands now though, EVE just isn't fun.  The sheer size of the limitless space combined with the warp gates, warp system, and local chat absolutely kills the game in my eyes.

Agreed. As much as I like the system on paper and CCP as a developer I just find the gameplay boring. Like you said, in a fantasy setting or something where the gameplay is more interactive the game would rock. They really need to get rid of local chat, especially in 0.0.

Agreed 100%.  What is the closest thing to this now?  Or is there just nothing close at all?

Well, nothing close that is out right now.

CCP is of course working on World of darkness online, it have a modern gothic horror setting but we don't know how the looting mechanics will be.

They also own the right to the old D&D steampunk horror setting "Ravenloft". No game is announced and it might never even be one but the thought of it makes me drool...
