Patcher Error?

After playing this game on and off for the past 4-6 months and reinstalled today but I get a patch error when i tried to patch the game.... Ive looked up similar posts but they date back to 2008 and most of the suggestions i tried (changing the patch file and restarting/reinstalling/starting as admin) dont seem to work. I run win7 64 bit if that helps.
Also while on the topic and instead of starting another, if someone could give me some info:
Seeing as how evey time i came back I havent really gotten past T2 due to not wanting to PvE and not enough players to PvP with my question is what server has the best pop T1-T3 atm? For a while i was using winkl's graph but that really doesnt give you any information on other than T4 players and it seems to be down now. From what i hear is that badlands was the be all of the NA servers but from what im hearing it seems to be all about gorfang.
Any players wish to comment on their T1-T3 Experiences? Curious as to what side has lower attendance at he tears and how often RvR combat happens and if it does what are the best times to get on? I understand there has been some chages in RR for T1-T3 but dont really understand on how it affected (positive/negatively) the game, so any more info on that would be appreciated. I have noticed that RvR has been spiced up in terms of leveling keeps and giving players a reason to not just camp their keep but to engage on B/Os so an really up to date experiences of your RvR in the most recent months would be appreciated ( havent played in 4-6 months so a update would be nice).

Every time I think about this game I get the message GAME ERROR, don't waste your time, so I don't...:)

I've heard from a few people that the patcher was acting funny. Someone I know jsut downloaded the game again and took him 5 hours to get patches through. maybe just uninstall and reinstall? not very helpful on that subject i know.
As for the RvR lakes. If you join Gorfang, it pretty populated at all times during the day in all tiers. I play multiple toons in every teir and don't have much difficulty finding groups and fights. Order is the underdog on Gorfang, si If you join help us on Order side to strave off the destro, Plus you get that sweet AAO more often XD.
Advice I can give you is that do not play this game as a hardcore player, you will find oyurself unitstalling quickly. But play a few hours a day and expect to just rvr and you will enjoy your time.
Another suggestion is to find a guild that is always grouping and on vent, this is key, since with the new expansion, group play is ever more required than before. Do not expect to solo to many things.
If you do end up joining order on gorfang, my guild Knights of Valor always has a decent population on and always in vent, and we welcome newcomers all the time.

Thanks for all the info, i tried uninstalling and reinstalling without much luck, still getting the error. Should i just dl the digital client? Im installing this off a disc btw. Well, dled the digital client and it wont even start lol.
It wont even let me update my client to start patching lol, anyone ever had a similar problem?
Im actually necro bumping my own post because im having the similar problem i had before. I remember figuring it out but it being over two months ago i seemed to have forgotten how i fixed it. Currently at a friends so i dont have my CDs, instead im noticing that i have the same problem I did before when downloading the warpatch.exe from the war website. The patcher doesnt start up at all not even to log me in. It just loads and does nothing after i click the icon. I notice in the folder the warpatch.bin being created but it does nothing...

I'm very forgetful, but i think its just that it suddenly started working...
So no ones had this similar issue? When transerring the client from another computer and running it from a external HDD it seems to work. Letting me log in at least and try patching. Got like 4/8G and my net went out and the patching didnt continue where it left off. I just dont know what the issue is. Running windows 7 64 bit, firewall has the exe as a exeption. ESET NOD32 i dont think is blocking anything. Ive uninstalled reinstalled, restarted my computer, tried installing it in different parts of my main drive. Nothing seems to be working....
I, personally never un-installed the game from launch, so I've only been a few patches when I take a break and come back =p.
I'd suggest just 100% un-install the game, and then install with the online installer since the CD doesn't seem to be working =/
I actually got the game to fully patch on my external HDD (was able to get it installed instead of just moved onto the HDD itself) and so far its playing just fine. I just dont know what the issue is.
There are two things you could try that might help.
1. Set priveleges of the game shorcut to administrator.
2. Set compatibility of the game shortcut to XP.
