    They were mentioned.

I wanted to see more about this topic. They should have left it out of that preview video rather than tease us :-(

There was a "galactic trade network" reference as well in the preview vid. Any info on that?

In one of the video's from E3 they showed a few people dancing in a bar.

Should be somewhere in that list of videos. ;)

I think that was a reference to auction houses. I think it was possibly in the same video as the one that mentioned social hubs.

Watched the trailer more carefully now and the galactic market looks great =D Should be your standard auction house feature, but hopefully with some kind of twist. I always end up doing alot of trade and crafting (succesfully =P) in any game I play and as such I've spent alot of time in various auction houses and there's a big difference between a well designed AH and a crappy one.

I'd like to see better filtering, some kind of built in "auctioneer", generally alot more info on sales and "worth" of items. Some way to fight those endless stacks of "1". I realize SWtor wont have a sandbox economy, but some thought put into it would be appreciated. I like that aspect of MMO's alot =)

The social hubs look like some kind of duelling area (tbh looks like ppl duelling anywhere really) and a cantina. Cantinas could possibly be the place for some kind of buffs? quests? Maybe repairs? Something with companions maybe... I dunno. Would be cool if they were more then "just social" but at the same time it cant be something hindering gameplay.

edit: also for cantinas, some kind of minigame surely.

This is something I'm very curious about, as well as am eager to learn more about. I would have figured they'd be focused on mini-games such as pazzack (SP?), arena dueling and swoop racing similar to what was in KOTOR, maybe that was just to far outside of their scope for now though.

As others have stated all that was shown was a few players standing around others dueling and a trade hub, there's really not much else we know about at present.

    For that, I'm completely stoked.

Besides, if nothing else shown during that conference got you excited you might want to check for a pulse

    Let me clarify here.

What you saw on Friday (which you'll see again on this site, this week) was a preview of the features in the entire game - not a preview of what's being shown on SWTOR.com during E3. For that, go to this page right here.

That said, since that article we had a last minute hitch with our Alderaan coverage. You'll see Alderaan covered elsewhere on the web this week, and here on The Old Republic site in the next few weeks. (Check the article for links to the sites we expect to see Alderaan coverage on.)

I actually think they really need to get those mini-games in there, they were, while not a huge part of the game, a part of the game that was synonymous with those two games. In both you have pazzak, and swoop racing..i don't recall arena fighting (unless you count that one tribe one as the arena fight) in the second kotor, but still you could go so many places with this. Maybe it will be a content update a few months after release. Would be nice.

Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

    • All I want to see is if an item is placed on the AH and not sold within a week , it cannot be removed and is summarilary removed.

I do beleive this to be correct. And I think the whole social hub thing will just be cantinas.
