    An EQ trial i downloaded got a virus on my comp (not this comp thoimage) and i can't even open the folder its in or it will freeze and i hafta turn off comp manually.

    There WAS a free trial at some point, but really don't know if it still work. Anyway is till have the links for it:

    http://eqlive.station.sony.com/news_section/newsview.jsp?story=44063 To get your trial key.

    and

    ftp://eqftp.station.sony.com/eqfull.exe to get the client.

    Be warned that the client is over 440mb though.

    This give you acces to the original EQ (the old zones).

    they always do that, in DAoC i went and bought the game, then just played for a month, but with soe games u have to buy the gamecard too, lol

    There is now a first 10 levels trial of EQ that is set in the Fargodeep Mine. I'v ebeen trying out and find it easier to play than EQ2. But, you cannot mod the interface at all in the trial. That aside it is a good game but the chunky interface frustrates me and some of eth quests wont complete even though I have completed all of the required stages. It's worth a go, the graphics are the old ones but they are more than srviceable as it has all of the gameplay in place.

    I came, I saw and in Azeroth I made my home.
