if you want good pvp get guild wars, if you are expecting good pve you will be severely disapointed... they do the sad excuse for harder mobs which is giving them more HP instead of making them smarter...

ok, well thanks guy, i don't know how i'm going to buy the game, but maybe we'll run out tonight and pick that shit up, i'll cya guys, and thanks. Sir Vampire, we'll keep in touch man.
well, GW is actually a CORPG: co-op online role-playing game, the main difference is that when you go hunting you cant meet other people (except when you party the people before entering an area where you can hunt) except in city's and stuff like that, and in mmorpg you can meet people everywhere. That's why Guild Wars has no monthly fee.

the game was ok for the first month, now that im done the game... the pvp sucks its the same thing over and over same levels same tactics.. gets old fast. i find myself logging in maby 1 time every couple days and play for maby 20-30 mins 1 time in the tomb.. finding a group takes forever only to be slaughtered right away.. ive won the Hoh a couple times and belive it or not it was with a pickup group who we RANDOM invited people.
really bored of all the current online games right now.. think im going to go and re-buy warcraft 3 since my cd is scratched

I can totally realate to you, and I've only had the game for 2 weeks! I'm just bored out of my mind right now so I don't play it much. I logged on today, leveled once, and got off. The good thing is though that it has no monthly fees so I'll keep my account open and log on occassionally to see if any good changes come to it.
dont get me wrong but i dont think its a horrible game, its just a kind of game you like or not... if you really like it, you fight for Hoh and participate in wars against other guilds..., dont take this as an offense.

true that, i will have to try it at least. I better be gaming with you a lot though man, i hate feeling all alone lol that is what brings me down the most in games, if that social element isnt there i'll call it quits. Thanks again man.
Its alright. its not really for teh hardcore gamers you will get bored quick as i did. i already have a level 17 level 12 and some level 6 and im jut bored of it because its not my type of game.
Here's what I've heard, the end game is easy to reach lvl cap is 30 and there isn't much to choose from armor wise at the end game...
The biggest selling point of this game is the fact you don't have to pay a monthly fee...
That's not impressive to me as I believe you get what you pay for...
Plus I played the world premiere and it was god aweful to me. Of course I didn't mean to do this but, I picked the gayest looking charactor (enchanter) as a primary - that was probably the beginning of the end for me, from the beginning with his gay mask and all.. I just couldn't take it...
I'm not even a hardcore gamer, I play about 30 minutes once a week, and I got bored, got a level 8 and a 4.
Biggest problem however is lack of friends, in fact none of my friends play it oh well, my advice to any potential Guild Wars players, make your friends play with you.
Don't you worry little buddy. You're dealing with a man of honor. However, honor requires a higher percentage of profit

I don't see anything wrong with the concept of GW if its got at least some replay value and engaging combat. I wonder at some of the negative commentary. How do you think First Person Shooter multiplayer works? I buy the game, and then I hop on a server somewhere and try to shoot some guys or steal their flag or (my favorite) blow things up and see how many people on the other team I can light on fire before I light someone on my team on fire. You know? They all burn the same. Getting off topic though.
To me, it sounds like Guild Wars involves hoping on a big server with a lot of instancing and trying to cut some guys. Have fun.
