    Okay since your other comment wasn't directed at me - I removed what I said in my previous post. Now, back to our discussion.

    Well, a more extreme example is, why not have Neverwinter Nights on here? It has the RPG, but not the MMO. Or why not have Battlefield it has the MMO but not the RPG? I haven't played either, so these might not be the best examples - but I hope you understand where I'm headed.

    If someone is coming here to read about or discuss MMORPGs then shouldn't that be what you find here?

    Once again, I think Guild Wars is a new kind of mmorpg and I have to look at it from that standpoint. When I do that, then I can support it being on this site.

    The RPG of MMORPG as it is currently used simply indicates that you take the role of a fantasy person in a game.  Not that you RPG like PnP RPG, but that you are "Joe Smedley! From the planet nebulous! " and whatever else you do doesn't matter, you are taking on the role of that person.  No game in it's entirety can fit the literal PnP discription most associate with MMORPG, save for maybe NWN. 

    As for this guys post, ...........wait....I'm trying to think of something positive to say but my head can't seem to wrap around the uselessness of it.  *shrug* If you want to relay your opinion, super.  Do so, but wow, posts like your first one do nothing more than give many sensible intelligent people something to laugh at while at work.  Now, if that IS your point, to give us some humor, thanks! :)

    First, I don't have 400 hours a week to play an actual mmorpg. Second, I like that this game is about strategy and communication instead of level.  Third, how can you even begin to claim that spending thousands of hours doing repetitive menial tasks and killing millions of mindless mobs to earn 50-300 levels -- as with an "actual" mmorpg -- isn't wasting your time compared to 100 hours and 20 levels?  You, my typing impared friend, are a loon.  image
