Why? EvE Why? do you torment me with your free content updates that look so damn good. Seriously this has to be the 6th time I've come back to this game. I dusted of an old DVD Steam back up of EvE: Trinity yeah thats right freaking Trinity lulz and installing the 8+ gig patch and probably more on Tuesday when Incarna launches.
I haven't played any good MMOs in so long, tried WoW Cata but we all know that was complete and utter garbage, only played that for about a month. Rift looked retarded, I think I went back to Aion for little bit that was a mistake, only game thats has filled my RPG fix is The Witcher 2 which is just awesome. So thank you CCP for giving me my MMORPG fix again it been far to long.

ship logs are up to date.. engineers report all systems go.. a case of quafe is in cold storage as you ordered. weapons are loaded.

Internet spaceships are the only thing worth a subscription to me at the moment. I still play LoL and Guild Wars for more of an action/ jump-right-in-and-fight fix.
I usually play EvE in like 2-3 month interval then take a break an my biggest gripe with the game has been character system and the static turrets on ships during combat. So I'm hoping they have fix'd all that this time around, I might stick around a little while longer.
If by "the charatcer system" you mean time-based skilling, that's here to stay. Incarna will have the new turret animations, which do look pretty slick.

Since I stopped playing in 08 I keep coming back every other month or so when they send me a free 5 day activation asking me to come back. So every other month or so I re-activate my account, login, see that nothing has really changed, and log back out for another couple months.
Maybe some day they will actually have something that keeps my interest, but I doubt it.

If your wondering how long I played, it was from beta until summer of 2008.
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
No by character system, I meant a full body avatar to move around in the world, I have no problem with the skill system. The whole walking around in ships and stations is a huge plus for me, although we have to wait a little while longer for stations. It just adds a layer of depth to the game that I feel it has been missing for a long time, same thing with the turrets. Being able to actually see the size and scale of the ship compared to your avatar will just make the world a little more believable imho.
