Its a *big* download. But then again, Incarna 1.0 was only released yesterday, so you might want to wait for Incarna 1.0.1 before you start playing this great sci fi game.

and if you arent yet willing to risk $10 .. theres even a free trial...   Incarna .. Eve isnt just about spaceships anymore.. interesting to see how they develope that further.. given the high degree of 'individuality' you can achieve with the character creation tool.. image

I've never played EVE for more than an hour. I wanted to check out the captain's quarters stuff... Wow... is it pretty.  That "big screen tv" looks really cool.

If CCP manages to make enough entertaining things to do inside their space stations, man, its going to be pretty darn fun.

Only complaint I have is that walking controls was frustrating.

Edit: I take that back, I still hate the size 6 font that the game uses. Its painful to try to read that....

Yes. You get a CD key once you buy it and you can use it whenever you want.

Can you add the key on a trial account? Thought I read something about not being able to add to existing account.

The very worst part of EVE is you have to be Superman to read anything because the font is so tiny! There is rumours that they're working on this, but I'd really like to see something concrete. I also really hate it how EVE vets pooh-pooh anyone who points out that the font is the smallest thing ever, as if people who don't have super human sight are just whiny little babies.

Aye, I don't care what anyone says, I have 20/20 vision and the font is just too damn small at 1080p. I too have heard they are working on allowing more customization (and hopefully the option to increase the font size to something decent) using the new CarbonUI. I think the Captain Quarters is very cool, but I don't think it would make me sub for another month yet or anything like that.

I added the Key I got from the steam purchase to my trial account, and it promptly applied it, so I hope so :)

Tempting, but I wouldn't buy it off steam. Cause if you buy the retail version of the "Commissioned Officer Edition" you get a stat booster +3 all stats for the first 35 days of your character. And +3 to all stats is nothing to scoff at, you can also sell them via in-game contracts for roughly the same price as a PLEX (350mil ISK) which is a decent amount for a starting player... however the +3 to all stats for 35 days is much more valuable.
