Anyone see the lord of the rings mmorpg? If not just check the news room anyone think that game will be a success?

Uhh......MEO has been around forever. And imo, its gonna be EQ in middle earth. What i've heard already they're ruining the spirit of ME. Consensual PvP? Not to mention a game based around killing so and so monster, for so and so loot, with probably about as much corporation of the wars as much as the civil war in SWG?

The LOTR world is perfectly made for PvP, I mean, the backbone of the entire world that tolkien created is the war evil against the good. Really sucks that they didn't go that way with the game, all those grand and huge battles the game could have had. A real shame that they dont take advantage of all the aparent things the LOTR world offers in terms of PvP..
" think they are trying to control the world a little to much. they should make the world controlled by the players. the game sounds like it could be very boring. there should be optional wars but it has to be the dark vs light thing meaning elves cant raid hobbit villages."

Ya, but IMO, they dont give a crap about the spirit of middle earth and the originality and story behind tolkien's work. But rather are using the name, (SWG anyone?) to just draw in the crowds, but have no content, and being hardly related to the backbone except having same races, places and names. Which is really a shame. I mean, they're making the game carebear based, which they do that with alot of games, but the thing is, if your doing MEO, keep to the storyline. Because middle earth stories were not half crapped junk. It was great for a particular reason. The way it was. Dont mess with a good thing, case in point is AC2, AC1 was a great game, really innovative, AC2, cookie cutter clone, that was the retarded maimed child of EQ, DAoC, AO, and any game that is crappy in anyway.
