    Where did you see this?

Or are you talking about how they had an old NWN database which was hacked? That has little to do with SWTOR if so.

Listening to news at mid hour,   did a yahoo search and one place says bioware and swtor wasnt, but still believing news, and news update will be on again in a few min

Its not just SWTOR, its all bioware accounts.  I got an email from where I had an account from neverwinter nights... .  If this is lulz again, I swear...someone needs to do something about these guys.

While it was just for 'lulz' they had a chance of getting away with it. The moment they started effing with people account info and causing numerous cases of fraud was the moment they'll come to regret from behind bars for a long long time.

Ok, just paid more attention, News said it was EA, maker of SWTOR.

    Link to it is http://radio.foxnews.com/podcast/5-minute-newscast/

The things they said were taken and more importantly the things that were not CC and Social secruity sounds like the NWN thing, i got a similar E-Mail a while ago and it suggested that i changed my PW. So i think it's the NWN thing getting radio publicity.

Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.

Link will change audio, they update news at regular intervals.

Well, from everything thats been going on I keep seeing that companies never disclose the full extent of the hacks.  Like sony did.  I just hope they didnt get everything and EA is telling the truth.

Still, hope these hackers die as horrible death as can be possibly imagined.

As far as we know right now they only hacked into the old NWN forums. There's not too much in the way of info they could get from those. EA reset everyones password who had an NWN account just in case they used the same password in the newer Bioware Social forums. So far as we know TOR and EA Origins are completely unaffected.

Many people use the same usernames and passwords for various things especially various forums, i'd change the pass on the TOR forum anyway.

They hacked into the old bioware NWN servers. I got this from Bioware/EA via email.

We recently learned that hackers gained unauthorized access to the decade-old BioWare server system supporting the Neverwinter Nights forums. We immediately took appropriate steps to protect our consumers’ data and launched a thorough ongoing evaluation of the breach. We have determined that no credit card data was compromised from the servers, nor did we ever have or store sensitive data like social security numbers. Our investigation shows that information such as user names, encrypted passwords, email addresses, mailing addresses, names, phone numbers, CD keys and birth dates from these forum accounts on the system may have been compromised, as well as other information (if any) that you may have associated with your EA Account. In an abundance of caution, we have changed your password to ensure account security. Please visit this {LINK] reset your password immediately.

We take the security of your information very seriously and regret any inconvenience this may have caused you. If your username, email address and/or password on your EA account are similar to those you use on other sites, we recommend changing the password at those sites as well. We advise all of our fans to always be aware of any suspicious emails or account activity and report any suspicious emails and account activity to Customer Support at 1-877-357-6007.
