This game kepting flamed from other MMORPG players from other games, it is getting a little frustating. I wonder why can't keep those comment to their on forum instead but I turns out their life is mainly flaming other games for their amusement because they are bored from all the games they are playing, including the game they are "admiring." They take one step further by flaming the rating. All I see is WoW, WoW, and WoW!!! If WoW players will stop flaming other games, people will at least stop seeing negative stuff on WoW (tho there are people who actually played the game with still see negative stuff). If you are leaving, fine. Just don't make a detail reference of why you are leaving. Just say you are leaving and say polite stuff to the players. Can't we all make the forum flame free? PLEASE?!

Yeah, the flame stuff really gets old after awhile when you think you've read a good post, but it turns out to be filled with unintelligent flames that sound like they came out of the mouth of a immature six year old. I can understand some people don't like certain games such as this one, but please post logical criticisms like why you don't like the game or why it wasn't for you other then stupid idiotic posts like, "OMG TEH GAME SUXXXOR DUDEZZZ DONTZ BUY TEH GAME IT TOTALLY SUXXXX!!" Unfortunately, I have seen some people (not going to name names) doing things such as that in a similar fashion and trolling here with that junk and they look/are total idiots IMO.
For those who would like to compare this to WoW, this is a totally different world from WoW and there really is no comparison between to the two. If you are thinking of quitting either game and going to the other, try posting your question in the off topic forum and hear what people have to say, otherwise your going to get the majority of one sided opinions if you post here or in the WoW forums.

That's basically what everyone who plays WoW says when they come in here to flame Guild Wars.

There is a difference.
Amasing deduction, the game is free therefore people are rating it higher for that. Nothing to do with the fact that it sloves alot of horible problems that i have seen in MMOGs over the years like boring storylines, having to spend alot of time just getting to places, not being able to solo, not being able to kill the things i want to kill because someone else is already there.
None of that has anything to do with why Guildwars is a good game.
I can't speak for World of Warcraft but Everquest 2 has alot of these problems. When i first bought the collectors edition of Everquest 2 i had to wait 5 hours due to the servers being down before i could even play it. Not a big deal though because i was happy to wait while i downloaded a huge patch on my 1 meg line.
At around level 20 the game just sucked the enjoyment out. Everytime i logged on i would have to spend time having to just walk to get somewhere. "oh what? no groups here? Let try somewhere else.." Another 20 minutes walking...
Its true that Guildwars uses instancing alot but so does everquest 2. Unlike Guildwars the instancing in Everquest 2 is horrible with you having to pick from a menu which instance you want to zone into everytime you walk you click to go into a new zone.
So i fail to see your reasoning that EQ2 is better then GWs. Takes more time for achieving alot less, yes but not "as good". It would have been nice if you attually made some points as to why EQ2 and WoW are better game, but if you want to not get flamed i suggest you also provide some counter points why EQ2 and WoW suck compared to GWs.

Does Everquest 2 count as a MMOG because it uses incetancing as well? Does Everquest 1 count as a MMOG because it uses shards? I believe that the only true MMOG i can think of at the moment is Eve-Online that doesn't have servers, instances and shards. Everyone is on the same network. Thats is in my oppinion the true MMOG.

People have been jealous of Guild Wars since it was in open beta. It's like when some new hot girl moves here from Florida all the other chicks get all jealous and try and start rumours about her. It's really juvenile but they feel threatened.
Guild Wars should not threaten anyone, it's made for fun and it SO is fun! It's not meant to take away from any MMO's either as it is more of a casual friendly game. You think they flame Guild Wars a lot try playing Horizons lol the game totally rocks now (as in NOW:if you tried it a few weeks ago, try it NOW it rocks)and is totally original and the cure for my WoW, EQ2 boredom but you still have a ton of asshats still dissing it over the beta which happened a year ago. People just wanna be right they don't wanna know the truth half the time.
Guild Wars is freakin totally awesome but don't expect to play it 24/7 for a year. It's meant for more casual fun. If your bored of it, doesnt mean it sucks just means you probably dont get much sunlight

Speak for yourself. Do you realize that some players do not have issues with monthly fees. There are other elements as to why they are attracted to the game, the no monthly fee is merely a plus for them.
You may feel it's overrated because of the fact that it hasn't satisfied your taste. You are entitled to your own opinio though, don't get me wrong. But you do not know for sure that the game is overrated because it's free...
