Ah Terraria. The game that lasted a week. I love it, but I played on a private server with my freinds and got it a bit after them, so when they where off doing stuff I was still getting gear. Now, they are pretty much done with it, and I am about where they where when I joined, so its kind of done for me.
Great game though.

Same here, I put it up when I want to play with my buddies and take it down after. The game is awesome but after you get everything it loses the sence of adventure and advancement - becomes a 2D Minecraft.

I just got it a week ago. I like it. Not nearly as much as I like Minecraft, but I like it and it's growing on me somewhat. Still have a lot to learn.
I like how MineCraft 1.8 will be the "Adventure Update". After Notch's track record on Terraria, I think he is about to make MineCraft into a 3D Terraria, only still more focused on building.

I really hope the adventure update adds a lot but I don't think it will be up to Terraria's adventure content. Playing Terraria really showed me how lacking the exploration and adventuring is in minecraft.

i think it will be the first in a series of updates. Remember, Notch played 6 hours of Terraria straight, right after it launched. I think he noticed the same thing.

I do hope that top-notch doesn't add Terraria's gear grind to Minecraft.
I never had much of a gear grind, save for in teh begining. And I doubt Notch will do that much.

Blocking with RMB while holding a weapon is totally useless unless enemies tell you when they're about to attack. So I'll guess we'll have to add attack animations for all hostile mobs!

Today he posted on his Google+ that hes adding a hold RMB to block with a sword as well as attacking animations for mobs so that you can block in time.
Well, actually you have already quoted that part of my message. So I think the term is ninja'd.

I hope Notch includes big bosses in 1.9 or 2.0. I want my Eater of Worlds boss from Terraria in Minecraft!!

Its cool man, I only updated it less than i minute beofre your post.
and Cyress, thats not a complete list, he has over 40 things he wants to add to 1.8. Bosses is speculated as one of them.
Actually Notch already has a boss in the game, its called the Giant. Its a zombie that is like 20 blocks tall, and has 100 health. Its passive, and does not spawn in the world. I am an admin on my server, and I have spawned a few before. Oh, and we are WAY off topic. There is already a minecraft thread.
