This. It's good for the first few days, then just extremely boring after that. Not worth the $20 at all, I should've just bought another sub for WoW (however I was bored with that, so it likely would've been a waste as well). Hopefully when the game is considered done it will be much better.

Most games you pay a good $40 or $50 for and get maybe a week out of them.  Minecraft is at least on par with its pricing, not to mention with only 2 days of play time, unless you pulled all-nighters, there was a lot of the game you didn't see/experience.

I am with you.  I paid around 15 USD for this game I think and personally it has been one of my best video game purchases.  Its always developing and when you get bored just pop back in and build something, or go onto SMP servers and check out other peoples stuff.  When 1.8 comes out it will be even better.  But I will admit, it takes a certain kind of person to enjoy Minecraft.

I didn't say I only played 2 days, I said the first few days were fun. I played it for about a week, and most of the time when a game gets boring I just stop playing, the only reason I kept playing Minecraft is because it was so hyped and I wanted to see what was the big deal. The main game only has about 15 hours of content at most, mods were what kept me playing. I'm a slow gamer, so 15 hours is fast.

This. I am certainly not that person.

Not everyone can enjoy minecraft, because not everyone is capable of being creative. Minecraft is not so much about survival, although when 1.8 comes out I advise you all to try again, its supposed to be more of an adventure game and you all DID pay for it already. Minecraft is about building, and trying to stretch your imagination. Then its about survivng zombies, but only a little, until your in The Nether and giant flying squids are shooting explosives at you and zombie pigmen with golden swords are running around. Oh and the lava all over the place.

Though, zombie pigmen being neutral until being attacked is kind of anti climatic.

It's absolutely the best breath of fresh air I've had in video games in a pretty long time and it's only getting better (as others have said, 1.8 brings more goal-oriented routes for people who don't really like finding things to do on their own).
