AOE III...I know this is off-topic but I feel helpless

Age of Empires III
I know this does not belong here and plenty of you can get angry at me and try to delete this post but just read a few sentences and Ill be happy.

My father and I have played AOE since AOE-I-XP was released I think it was Rise of Rome or something, anyways, I remember how psyched my dad was when I got him AOE II for his birthday, so then they release AOE II-XP and yeah, bleh.
Personally people I thought Ensemble Studios gave it a rest after AoM Titans (and AoM did not catch my fathers attention by the way, he still players Conquerors) but I have a few questions about Age of Empires 3 and I was wondering if any of you have even looked at this game or have the same questions.

1. Is the HUD or what do you call it in a RTS, I mean like is the map in the same place as before and the creation icons are still on the bottom and when you advance ages its at the center top and all that
2. EXACTLY what time period are we covering here, I noticed over all of the Age of Empires they all progress through time and if there are 4 ages in this one then does anybody know the exact years?
3. Any new game modes? (IE: in AoEII there is Deathmatch, Random, Scenario, Gold rush ETC)
4. I feel stupid asking this but anyone know a SOLID release date?
5. Any new options (IE: In AOE-II-XP you had the option to auto-replant a farm at the mill and I was wondering if there were any new options in this game like giving units an explore button?)

More questions to come if this post isnt deleted ::::31::

There is an off-topic forum you know.

Most of these questions can be easily answered by searching on Google too. There are screenshots of the UI (HUD) of course it could change by the release. The time period I believe is early America when the first European settlers arrived. Some swords, some guns, some horses, some cannons, just look at the screenshots again. They have introduced new modes and features with every game, no reason to believe there won't be this time around. The release date is supposed to be by the end of this year and unlike MMO's and other games Ensemble has been pretty solid on there release promises. If I had to make a guess, I'd say November, just in time for the holidays.

Conquerors was an amazing game, Mythology was a cheap and horrible rip-off of WC3.  Your father is a smart man.

For the time period I heard its the American/French Revolutionary Era.  Can't help you on the rest of the questions though.  I just hope this improves off AoE2 and stays with strategy over the build millions of trade units and barracks and just constantly spawn men and randomly send them at the enemy gameplay of AoM.  I do hope that theres is more balance in the races this time though, since AoE wasn't very difficult to just crush people with the Turks and Koreans always banned in 99% of the games and with myself, playing as the Britons, it wasnt very hard to defeat 90% of the remaining players who all went Spanish.  I also hope that they seriously dont make anything even remotely close
to the strength of the Korean ships in this version as well.

Don't know why you bothered to even ask here. You are aware there are thousands of places to go for everything you want to know. Just go to places where they gather. Why come to a RPG site and ask about a RTS? It would be like going to Age of Empires fan site and gambling on getting knowledge on EverQuest or World of Warcraft. Or like going to a car dealership and ask them what is the best boat to buy.

Sometimes I wonder why people do this. It is like they never seen yahoo.com, excite.com, msn.com, google.com and the other hundred search engines.

Oh and BTW Ensemble and Microsoft did invest into a website just for AOE3. You can go there (http://www.ageofempires3.com) and get 100% chance better finding out about AOE3 than this place... OR for a good place where a lot of AOE3 share thoughts and info from what they get from ALL over the net and E3 go here.... http://aoe3.heavengames.com/ .. I would give a list of a ton of other informative sites, however I really think you need to learn to make a habit of using search options on the net before you post in any forum with questions.... It is always good to research before you question. Or you can find out how ruthless others can be if they have to spend time typing out explainations explicitly for one when there is already so much out there to read.

Hope this helps. Somehow though I get a feeling either the original poster is very young or this was an attempt to see if a flame war would start. hmm, oh well!!!!
