How i do item upgrade?

I was wondering how i make that item upgrade thing, can someone help the stupid man?

To upgrade weapons & Armour you need to use UPGRADE SCROLLS which you can find from monsters or buy from the wierd guy in Moradon (next to the Anvil), take your upgradeable weapon/armour & scrolls to the anvil & right click on it, then its pretty self explanitary... HOWEvER, i dont know very much about upgrading so if anyone knows of a good site or page that has more info on upgrading then could they post it please!!!

I've had a little experience whent it comes to upgrading, and i'll tell you the number one rule:

BE PREPARED TO GET FRUSTRATED

There's lots of rumors about certain 'strategies' when it comes to upgrading. Such as, if you put your upgrade scroll in a specific square on the upgrade screen, you will have a better chance of upgrading. Another theory is that if you upgrade using a CUS(cursed upgrade scroll) for the first couple times, then you will have better luck when upgrading with a BUS(blessed upgrade scroll) later on.

As said before, these are theories. But as far as success probabilities go, here's what i've come up with from my experience:

+7 0% 4% 22%

+8 0% 0% 4%

I hope the chart isn't too confusing

I've heard mixed responses when it comes to using Trina's Piece(Power up store item which is supposed to increase the success rate of the BUS). I've heard it works, and i've heard it doesn't. I haven't personally used it myself, so i can't pull from experience on that one.

How accurate is your chart? How many upgrades have you done? You have +8 items? It's very impressive, i'm just wondering how much weight to throw behind it.

I compiled these numbers with alot of help from other players i've played with ingame, but i'll be honest, they are educated guesses for the most part. They should be pretty close though--if you can prove me wrong, feel free to correct me. I don't have all the answers.

I myself have never succesfully upgraded to a +8 item(which is e x t r e m e l e y irritating), but i have a fellow member in my clan who is a priest who uses 2 Priest Morning Stars, both of which are +8(and watching him attack with both weapons glowing is really cool), but if i remember correctly, he spent literally millions in gold on weapons and upgrade scrolls, most of which ended in failure.

U guys have no expirience in upgrading what soever. Ask yourself why does the anvil glow different colors and why in patterns?

I dont claim to know everything--i'm just speaking from my own experience. There's no need for bashing.

So, why does the anvil glow different colors and in different patterns? Please share, we would all like to learn from a more experienced user.

Also, if you know anything about the stats of mobs that aren't listed on the website(Manticores, Centaurs, etc.), that'd be cool if you could help me out on that one

uhh... i dont really know how to upgrade items...

i have a horn crossbow (+2) and i wasted lots of money for those scrolls

ive heard of rumors like that but i dotn feel like wasting time upgrading things.

i heard +8 items were banned or something also but i dont know.

another question. if you upgrade something to +7 or something, and u do elemental scroll to get like 10 fire damage, then upgrade to +8, will it glow? i always wondered that

and the upgrade thing glows in patterns and colors to show other peoples upgrades, its not some luck mojo...

if it has red spirals all around it, it means someone failed in the upgrade. if it glows yellow, someone succesfully upgraded it yay

I havent heard anything about +8 items being banned(whether or not it's true i dunno)

As far as i'm told, all +8 elemental weapons glow, and it doesn't matter at what lvl you use the elemental scrol, the damage will be the same( +3=16, +4=24, +5=32, etc.)

And thanks for the heads up on the anvil colors. I didn't think that there was some strategy to that
