I just want to tell all european fans of this game that you guys won't be able to play this game,
its hosted by nexon and they just LOVE to ban all IPs outside of NA. so its gonna be available to us in about a year or so, and no info of any other company that will allow EU to play this game has been announced. so unless you ppl plan to bypass or move to the US you guys will have to wait another year hoping that some other company will get the rights to host this game.

And you're surprised..?
Is it a complete ban or just a ban from making an account? The only game i've played that did this was 2moons and we just got the yanks in the guild to make accounts for our EU members that wanted to come try it.
Silly OP, don't you know there is a Nexon Euro branch of Nexon Co.?? Right now european players can play combat arms and mabinogi, so it's safe to assume in a year or so they'll be able to play dragon nest as well.
Either way, I don't think this game is coming out this year, so both NA and euro players have to wait.
try posting to nexon/eu and have them get on the ball to release it there
well the NA branch allowed those who were playing maple from EU still play from what ive seen.I doubt they will do a mass ip ban if your high lvl in open beta, just as long as no one whines about lag cause someone is not from NA then its all good.See when nexon america gets complains about lag or someone from out of country playing, and its a crap load of players they usually just do mass ip bans.Since this game is about partying and going to dungeons better hope no one complains xD
Well tbh, Nexeon is shit , they might be a networking company, but they still have no idea how to keep people out of a game that you want to play, lets take face of mankind f.x , a game they manage also, they ip ban me and what not, silly silly, install vmware, get a proxy program which is easy and play it like that.
Nexeon is trash.
List of SOE lies
Kwai Proxy programs just cause you to lag vary much lol.I'd like to say that theres better ways around the ip bans, you would need to restart your routers ip so that you can play each time (if your running a modem that does not come with a router already) other then that you will lag xD
European players will have to wait anyway. Nexon blocked european IP's when Dunegeon Fighter beta started and even though i had NA account earlier I couldn't log in.
And using virtual proxy of any kind is just making you (or your party memebers) lag beyond belief...
I wrote a mail to nexon.
"this is a question which I haven't found any answers on the web or the faqs section, but why can't we keep up with the other mabinogi versions? why do we have to start from the beginning and slowly get the updates. its already translated to english so why can't we have the same updates as the NA. is it because of cash shop or what? I'm so confused and frustrated."
they replied
"NEXON Europe [01.04.2010]
Dear Mabinogian,
Thank you for using Mabinogi Europe Customer Support.
We understand how much long you wait for the next generation and cash shop.
We are currently preparing for the official service
and we'll notice on the website as soon as we have concrete patch plan.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
- Mabinogi Europe Customer Support -"
I asked them a simple question... and I didn't get the answer I wanted...
I guess it's to do with the coding and translating all that shite into English, really.
Nothing you can do about it, I think.
oh yeh ofc translating from english to english takes allot of effort. its rly nothing you can do about
Seriously great nexon >.<
i was REALLY hyper bout this game >.<
imma go for B&S >.<
no time for pain and hate
You should know by now that Nexon are useless. Don't get me wrong, they've worked on some great games, it's just their customer service and so forth that sucks. Be glad, though, they're not as bad as Capcom and one of their Japanese MMORPG's; only available in Japan, all IP's outside Japan (except certain Asian countries) are blocked from accessing the game and so far they have no intentions to release the game outside of Japan.
Better than mine. I simply asked why I have a problem getting NX and after several months, my only answer was "Your ticket has been deleted by a GM." >_>
You could always move to North America. It's fun here.
Or use a proxy, like everyone else does.
wats this a NA game not helping a EU player..whooa hey kinda like preistine tale 2 that NA's ips are banned from playing. ahh well move on (add BlackShot to the list now).
Guys I just got great news about the game. Good news is that there will be a global server, GREAT news that its not NEXON!!!
Just type in facebook search dragon nest global and like the site 'cause if we get 10k likes we get the release date.
BTW you can sign for cbt in the teaser site dn.cherrycredits.com
Yah this sounds like a great idea...lets all do this. I'm sure it's 100% safe!!
Seriously, you're not missing out on much.
Also, gender-locked classes are downright unacceptable, it's not that hard to make player models, especially low-poly f2p models like this. That's just pure lazy, I know Oblivion modders with more dedication than that and they're not doing it for profit.
But hey, it's Nexon, whatever they can do to make the most cash-shop money with the least amount of effort is OK in their book even if the game dies as a result. They'll just make another game in an attempt to distract you with shiny things, which works for most gradeschool children who love Nexon games, but isn't very effective against us smart adults who see through this kind of bull-hockey. The same can be said about PWI and gpotato games.
AT LEAST they attempted a little originality. It's still a ripoff money-making scheme and NOT an attempt at making a good game, do not get those 2 confused.
Its true trust me. Thats why im saying to go through facebook and you'll see the link dn.cherrycredits.com.
In fb site, if you are in "Dragon nest" then youre in NA nexon but if "Dragon Nest Global" youre in right place.
You guys need to learn a few things.
Continents have different laws on game content.
Nexon isn't making the game.
They bought a license to host the game for the N.A audiences so if they let the entire world play on it, they are breaching a contract and could get sued.
well thank you for educating us!
most companies deal with these stuff but nexon taking so long time in order to get a game hosted!
its not only the NA nexon its the whole company, even the NA plays on an outed version of the game, sure I can understand that they need it translated, but then the europeans have to play on an even more outdated version. and is treated with a lower priority.
look at the current situation, vindictus has launched for the NA a while ago but not the EU version, and it has almost gone a year now,and they haven't even released a date on when we get to play it and theres no announcement of a DFO EU either, nexon shouldn't be hosting games and from the looks of it, dragon nest will be hosted globally by an other company (not sure which though shanda or cherry, got them mixed up). but the thing that annoys me the most with nexon is their huge gap on the games version.
and FYI I'm not an expert on all these game laws and contracts, I'm just a fool who want answers on why I can't play the exact same game as the NA where other companies doesn't have this issue and hosts almost the same game and versions, I simply want answers to my questions.
I lost my patience 4 years ago
With so little said and done on Nexon's part, do we really want to play this game IF it finally comes to EU? Oh yeah, Im really looking forward to their cash shop...
If u excpect from the guys that run nexon eu to release it u gonna have to w8 at least 2 years for the closed beta like the vindictus those guys are completely useless
I'll admit I didn't read the entire thread.. so not sure if this has been mentioned yet
but the EU has some fairly strict (and well done imo) consumer protections on the internet that makes the USA look like the wild west.
I think a lot of companies would rather not market to the relatively small EU mmo community than live up to the standards the EU demands for consumer protections.
SEA version ( http://dn.cherrycredits.com/ - currently CB, Open beta in 2 months) is available for EU players, so it solves problem. Too bad EU players rarely have chance to play with NA players (lots of MMO games have area restrictions).
