hi, Im thinking about getting this game and i got some questions to ask, how long does it take to get to lvl 60? and is it hard to get the best armour in your class?
For a new player, you can probably hit 60 in 10-15 days of actual play time. The fastest recorded was just a bit over 5 days, but that was a powergamer that knew the game quite well. Power gaming, in my opinion, isn't the best way to enjoy this game though - the fun is in the journey, not the destination.
It is fairly hard to get a full set of your class armor. Several raid runs of the same instances might be required. Getting a couple of pieces of it is easy though.

It is *very* easy to get started!
Not sure which race is better. But Humans have spirit increase of 5% and +5 to sword and mace skill.
World of warcraft is such a great game in my opinion ... its very easy to play... theres soo much to do and try ... new things coming out all the time too eg/ battlegrounds , honour system.
It took me 16 days to reach lvl 60 with my paladin .... got a bit boring lvl 45 + .. just the same techniques for battle all the time .hit hit hit heal heal heal .. bit sick of it ..
Despite what people say i think paladins are hard hitters.I can hit almost 3000 with my pala .
btw lightforge(high lvl paladin armour)looks soo much better on human

why do you all want to level to 60 in that short time? i like trying all classes and playing them all at once, slowly.
is you go too fast it takes away from the experience.
i would have like a lvl 14 by 16 days of good play

well, when i'm new i don't rush.
most of my time in a new game is spent exploring, trying different races/classes.
once i'm comfortable with it i do fast leveling.

playing for 15 days and only geting to lvl 14 is very possible, even if it is 360 hrs, but the way its done is one lvl a day so lets say you start, gain a lvl, and the rest of the time you have you just eplore and do nothing
There seems to be two different thoughts going on what the "days" mean.
When someone says it takes 15 days to reach level 60, they typically mean that it takes 15 * 24 hours of time in game. Assuming you played the game 24 hours a day, it would take 15 days in game to reach level 60. So, if you only play 2 hours a day, it will take you 180 actual calendar days to reach level 60. If you play 6 hours a day, about 60 calendar days. 12 hours a day? 30 calendar days.
WoW has a feature where you can type /played and it will tell you how much time you spent a the current level and how much total time you've spent on your character. This is where people learn how many days it took to reach level 60.

it is accualy pruty easy to start out, took me 10mins to get teh hang of the game, but if you played any other rpg you will have no prob.
it does not matter if you are a human palli or dwarf, only the start location is diffrent, but i prefer dwarf pallis cuz they are cooler
