Smells like Cafe World, and Frontierville, and Cityville, and...
By that I mean you earn so many points of whatever over time that you then spend those points on whatever. The limit is you can spend those points faster than you can earn them. But guess what!?! We'll sell you 666 points for only $9.99! Isn't that great?!?

Hehe this made my young daughter of 9 laugh, loved the whole frenetic sense of the trailer and it would be someting I'd try out if I didn't think it would drain my wallet quickly, which it would.
Glitch is a sideview (2.5D) browser mmo. Skills are time trained. Those skills are used to gather items which you use to craft. The typical harvesting actions include singing and watering (for plants) and petting/harvesting (for animals). Options grow with skill training. Skill trees include: Animal Kinship, Soil Appreciation, Bottany, Cheffery, Cocktail Crafting, Element Handling, Teleportation, Tinkering, etc. The amount of craftable items is in the low 400's range. You have both a mood you have to sustain and an energy bar. Doing every day things raises your mood but lowers your energy. Energy is replenished by eating food (which you can pick or craft).
The typical quest involves helping/gaining favor from an aspect/god in the game or just helping an NPC. Gained Favor can advance skill training (if i remember correctly)
The game does have a subscriber option...no idea how much it will be though.
The game has over a hundred achievements and locations.
The game is reminiscent of an SNES platformer in style. The comparison to Zynga games is pretty weak though.
Oh and the creepy head things in the middle of the trailer are "giants" and they are kind of like the game's bosses.

Jeebus, the trailer looks/sounds like it was made by someone on drugs.

Clever game but a money sinkhole.
