Any MMO i actually get into i do a static group because it is more fun. But static groups have their draw backs since you cant do to much cause you will level. So while it is fun the goal is to speed the ride up so at max lvl your not bound by the group.

I don't. I have never reached cap in ... well, any game, single or multiplayer. Call me ADD, but at a certain point leveling always becomes too much of a chore to continue. Oh except I capped in GW1 obviously. And some D+D based single player games (KotOR, and BG2 come to mind). Basically, unless the story and gameplay are engaging all the way up to level cap (i.e. if level cap hits before the end of the game, and I'm not bored silly), I just leave. Kinda saddening now that I think about it.

I don't.  When I reach max level, I immediately retire the character.  I'd rather never reach max level, there's no point to continuing at that point.

Played: UO, EQ, WoW, DDO, SWG, AO, CoH, EvE, TR, AoC, GW, GA, Aion, Allods, lots more
Relatively Recently (Re)Played: HL2 (all), Halo (PC, all), Batman:AA; AC, ME, BS, DA, FO3, DS, Doom (all), LFD1&2, KOTOR, Portal 1&2, Blink, Elder Scrolls (all), lots more
    Now Playing: None
    Hope: None

GW is the only game I've played and had fun not being max level.

I take my time myself, since almost all mmo's have a meaningless endgame thats not really worth bothering with, WoW is a major one, it needs some faction vs faction mass pvp with land control that gives bonuses to your entire faction, JUST so that they have a use for for their raid gear, and remove the pvp earned gear.

To this day best endgame IMO=Dark Age of Camelot before spellcrafting came out. Raided for gear, then you go rvr with it in mass battles, was a blast.

Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either:

    A. Proven right (if something bad happens)

    or

    B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens)

Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime!

Totaly with you on this. I'm trying to milk the last two levels of lotro until the expansion comes out.

Same here, most mmo endgame is a waste of time, woo you raid for gear just to follow the next carrot on a stick for more gear that ultimately has no other use. With the exception being Daoc, before spell crafting as I said in my other post.

I feel like I've acomplished something when I reach max level.

But the way I feel about getting there is, I know where it is, I'll get there....eventually.

With the way mmo's play today , to do group content. Sure an instance is tossed in here and there every 5-10 lvls, but it's more of just a way to grind out lvls.

    70 monk eq1
    80 bruiser eq2
    43 druid wow
    Currently playing : rift

Never in a hurry to reach max level, as long as there is interesting content available at lower levels.

Heck in Vanguard I currently have my experience gain turned off so I can explore all 3 continents thoroughly without outleveling certain areas and dungeons.

So you enjoy doing the same raids over and over and over to get those pixel epics that will be obslete anyway when the next x-pack comes around so you have to start all over again?

If it's not broken, you are not innovating.

except that not all games do that.

I think the problem some of these answers is that it assumse "WoW".

Not all games have you get to max and make you do raids over and over again.

And not all games actualy require one to do every quest.

It's not for me, that i want to reach max level.

I want to complete the content, reaching max level is usually just a side effect of doing that.

Same here! My biggest motivation for levelling is so that I can get more things that change how the game plays or somefing similar so I can test new stuff.

An example is grinding in Vindictus so I can get the block push move.  I love counter attacks and I had some serious fun using that move.  AFter I got that, I was just playing normally n stuff and the stuff just come to me as I have fun.
