Free day or screwed for a month of game time?
Bought rift about 3 months ago when it came out on early realease, played for the month of sub time and then thought that I removed my card... Well today I was able to log in without resubbing, so I'm like "hmm I wander how much game time I have"
I have 1 day says my sub is active for a month subscription and runs out tomorrow. What is up with this ?
Is this some kind of method trion uses to get you to pay if you try to log into an unactive sub.. or have I been paying all this time?
Should go check into my visa account. Just wandering if anyone knows what is up with this. I'll be pretty mad if I find out that I been paying for a game and not playing it because I thought my sub wasn't active.
Edit** actually I don't remember when rift was released exaclty but I bought the game during the beta so I could play head start. Anyhow I could have swore I removed my payment method.

I would go back and check your billing account for the past 3 months. If you did indeed remove your visa 3 months ago and they are still billing you, dispute the charges and file a complain with your CC company was well as the BBB and call Trion direct. Indeed a shady tactic, if true.
Does it have abything to do with the 7days come-back event for vets?

If you did pay for time unknowingly, usually you can just send in a support ticket explaining the situation and they can check and see if you ever logged in during the paid time. If you didn't, they should pay you back.
My coworker let his friend use his credit card for an MMO sub since his wasnt working, the friend stopped playing the game but never cancelled the sub with my coworkers card. So my coworker paid for an MMO for a YEAR AND A HALF without even know (dont ask me why he never checked his credit card statements for a year and a half).
It added up to almost 200$ and the company paid him back since they saw the account was never logged into all that time.
Well, if there was any free time , they sure did a crappy job of advertising it. No emails, nothing on the site.... How do they expect their vets to know when they have free time?
Hopefully that is all this was, but now I'm kinda down about missing all of it. Was thinking about subbing back maybe at the beginning of next month tho. Rift is looking good right now.

The 7 days welcome back was on the front page of there site and it only was for those who unsubscribed prior to June 24. If your game time didnt expire until sometime after that date, then you didnt qualify, nor did you get an email. The 7 day welcome back was from July 13-19
Wierd , because I logged in today... Didn't log in yesterday.

You are not a vet the game is not out long enough for anyone to be a vet. They have post everywhere about the free trial also so if you missed that then thats on you. Also check your credit receipts maybe u had the 1 free month and also the 1 month u ppaid for and it is just now ending. There is alot of different reason why this could happen and ranting on here is just ignorant. Most smart people would simply call them and find out the reason instead of making up false charges.
Hold on now... I bought the game for head start. Then when they wanted me to renew my sub after the very first month. I believe it was the first month of game time, I removed the credit card and put a card that was expired in its place. So I should have gotten an email. Seeing as how my time ran up sometime in april i believe.

Did I ever say I was a vet to this game dude? LOl you act like being a vet to a game is the equivallent of a real life Military vet and something to get defensive about... What a joke man please. I find it insulting that gamers call themselves vets when we have real people out there putting their lives on the line.
I was wandering if there was free time for this game , that is all. It seems like there may have been free time and I got that free time and that is why I was able to log in, stop being aggressive.

You are overanalyzing this entire scenaro.
Did you get charged or not? That is all that matters, you missed out on the free time - nothing is going to change that. So instead of trying to play Sherlock Holmes Mystery Stories, why don't you go and verify that you have or have not been charged and then come let us know the results?
Unfortunately I cannot do that at the moment. Otherwise I would have.

you ae getting extremely upset over a $15 dollar charge that may or may not have happened to your account. Be a grown up and find out the info for yourself.

I wasn't all that upset. My credit card is expired. SO if the the charge went to anyone, it had to go to the only card that was any good on the account and it was not mine. That is why I am here asking about it. Because I cannot look it up for myself since the card is not mine. I used my expired card , while somebody else used a good card for the account. When I tried to unsubscribe it wouldnt let me so I put my expired card on the account and moved the subscription to that card so it wouldn't keep charging the other person.
I'm not out of money either way, I just want to know if my buddy is getting charged for the game and i don't want him to come looking for me to pay it, since it is my account. Also, I felt maybe there was some free time so hence the question in the post.
