Lot of people I assume would even pay $400+ for the collectors edition. I remember people paying a lot of money on eBay just to get the preorder mount and weapons for age of conan and that wasn't even with the game. They can mark it up to whatever price and the people who wanted the collectors edition will still buy it.
Been doing some "research" and it would seem that the 150E, 200$ w/e price is actually a placeholder, considering they don't have the actual price yet. The same site has Uncharted 3 for 150E also, it's their placeholder price it seems.
It has been reported [from not-100%-trusty-sources, granted] that the CE will be around 150€, but this does not mean that would be $220. Most likely it will be around $150 in the USA and 150€ in Europe. Yes, they always do this to us euro-players

Don't be fooled by these so called "Uniqu"items give to those whom buy a CE. History has shown in MMO's that a lot o the time these "Unique" items do become available to all a little further down the road.
The prices are luckily placeholder (someone contacted to retailer to check up on that).
It's a nice assortment of goodies (though I couldn't care less about figurines) however, I'd be willing to pay up to 100€, but anything over that is getting absurd for a sub game.
Gotta wonder what's in that "dynamic" store as well.

I want a collectors edition and if the €150 price is what it is, I'll just have to fork it out - I'm guessing a lot of the price is coming from the statue - the other Old Republic statue is $80 on the Gentle Giant site....so fair enough, if I didn't want a statue of Malgus I could probably sell it on anyhow.

Everything else is either eye candy or something small to help push you through the starting madness.. but this may get everyone else in an uproar.
i don't think it will be a problem. other games CE contain some legendary items that give +exp or stat boosts and level with you. but they all have one thing in common...in endgame they are obsolete because group/raid content are far better. and i guess that will be the case with the ingame-vendor too. nice gear to buy during leveling but in the end its just a vendor.
I dont see a reason to think they are fakes, they look totally legit, I mean, the real ones will be probably like that anyway so they will probably or at least they could be, real.
About the CE, I will go for the normal one, I dont see the point on spending more to get the same game and a few stuff i'm not going to look at after 3 days, but is just a matter of opinion.
I really hope that's the collectors set. Can't wait to get it!

Also got this yesterday. have it on my site the first box also suggest a early opt-in program for beta if you pre-order i also have some images of the possible 7 in-game items.
The "images" of the CE items look a little shady. The combat droid picture isn't even an actual in game graphic. It's a picture of the jedi training remote from Episode 4, a new hope. The "sleek speeder" is another non game picture, that's a speeder from EP 1, 2, and 3, which isn't even in the correct time period. I also don't think it's very sleek. A barc speeder on the other hand, that's sleek.
Well you couldn't exactly get screenshots of bonus items nobody has seen... So I would imagine those images could be thought of as more for "entertainment value" as opposed to actual images.
When I saw a picture of just the CE I thought it looked legit enough. The only thing that bothered me was I used to work for a gaming magazine. It was pretty common to get a box fedex'd to us for ads. There was another company we actually sent the box to and they converted the box into the ad picture. Disc I've never seen "mocked up".. they don't print them until they have a "gold" version. When that happens you are very close to retail and I've not heard any comment about a "gold version".
Obviously it could be something they chose to do.. I've just never seen anyone do "mock up" disc for a picture like that.
I also have issues with the "first box" because of the "colour stone" text. The most obvious thing and something anyone would know is.. Light Sabers use crystals.. not stones. That isn't the only issue with the information on the box cover.
Well if the collectors edition going to be over 100 bucks I am not buying it. I paid 199 for a lifetime in lotro, there no way I am going to pay 200 bucks for the collectors edition to only get 30 days free time.
Where did you pre order from, because gamestop dose not even have it listed. I went down there last night and talked to the manager in person you cant even pre order it from the store here in Alabama.
I think the 150 euros price leak might be what you call a "trial balloon". If feedback shows enough people are willing to pay that, then that's how much it'll cost. If the feedback is "no effin way", then it'll magically be about 100 euros when the preorder details are announced tonight.
I always buy boxed versions of games and had planned on a CE of this one, but I' not paying $150 for a package that includes a statue that I don't want and my wife would object to being on a shelf anywhere in our house. I might actually go digital on this one.

If all this is true they truly raised the bar in CE offers
Looks like a great CE, but I am afraid to know how much it is going to cost with all of that stuff in it, plus it carries the Star Wars brand name.
