YES!!!!!!!!!!!! I CANT WAITTTTTTTT!
Looks like this narrows the launch window to November - December. This is great news! Hopefully we get a specific date at Comicon later today.

Surely november, but dang it's going to interfere with my skyrim time.
Woohoo!!!! We can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Finally I can check this game out for myself. Will be picking up the CE pre-order as well today. Now I just have to carve out some extra time to play....

Thats great, looks like November release date. I am almost sure of that now.
oh jeez, I hope they don't handle who gets in the weekend play sessions like Trion did with Rift. Imagine how this site and others alike will crash due to people hanging out waiting for beta codes to be released!
I am very excited about this. Oh, I hope the game doesn't suck because I just spent a whole lot of money for the collectors edition.
Checklist:
1. CE Ordered..Done
2. Got promo early access code and entered that...Done
3. Spent a &^&*ton of money and waiting with anticipation...yes!!!!!
I just can't wait, it's pre-ordered and I am ready to play it!

my gut feeling is telling me that maybe this game will be success .although this game is not of my taste .never liked star war movies but my sixth sense says this game will do business very good.
Still long ways to go I think. Still need a class reveal, a proper Sylvari reveal - And none pvp or WvWvW. And now they are re-doing the way characters look in cinematics. Could still be 2011, but it's lookin more and more unlikely.
Pretty rad that my original predictions from 2007 seems to come fruition!
If you pre-order, are you ensured to get into the beta weekends?
well as i just earlier today preordered the collectors edition my shop said that the preorder was for around october ^^
Finally! See you there!
Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it."
Their servers will not be able to handle it... My advice would be to unlock every single server they plan to release at launch.. Rift, a brand new IP with no established fan base, even had issues on its Beta phases with population..
Star Wars... Yea, it could end up being a very bumpy ride..
Beta weekends? What the heck is that? Sounds like more crap 99.9% of us will get no chance to participate in.
Other MMO's have actually had things similar to this. Which was followed by a few weeks of 7 day "testing" and then the early access phase. You could be right about the 99.9% thing... obviously until they make an announcement of how that works its hard to tell.
I think it was Auto Assault at a certain point to be in beta you had to have pre-ordered. So all existing beta testers who did not have a pre-order on their account were removed from beta. As opposed to pre-order only having been tied to "early access". So who knows maybe beta weekends will tie in with the "limited amount" of pre orders. Have to wait and see.
Amazon.de wrote me the game would assumable sent at Oct. 21st. Given we have beta weekends in Sept, this sounds like a probable release date to me.

Dont cry, beta weekends/events will be out for a huge number of random players, also you can win beta keys on every main mmo website. Its a huge part of the pre-sale marketing to have as many as possible players online, to have them do stupid drawing/glueing/singing for a key.
But keep in mind, that beta tests of that kind have no impact on gameplay, its just stress test. No report ever made from those "mass" beta tests (its more like a promo access) have impact on the game, except of xploit reports.
So buy your beta key at ebay, win on www.whateveritis.com or just pre-order.
I'm not going to pre-order yet. I want to beta this. I did with SWG and I loved that game. I left just as Wookies was being launched. In other words, I left SWG before it sucked big time and I'm sad to see them closing the game. I'm excited about this game but I feel there's not enough info out there about other classes and that's why I need to beta this. I can't find the beta signup in the the SW:TOR web site. What's worse, its not letting me login even though I've already created my account months ago... sigh.
well the testing sign up is done in your account info(under basic info) so if you can't log in you won't be able to find it
If you can't figure out how to sign up for the beta than you don't deserve to be in the beta.
Talk is cheap. I'm not buying that this game is going to make 2011 until the NDA comes down.
Given the very limited previews that Bioware has done, either they're playing ti really close to the vest for no apparent reason or they have a lot ot hide. I'd also like to hear if they plan to nerf endgame content every 2-3 months like Blizzard/TrionWorlds. I'm not sure that I want to be on the poop sock / bleeding edge just so that I can play through challenging content.
If you don't worry about it, it's not a problem.
