A few months ago I wrote an eBay seller of Gmail invites and asked to have one for free. In return I would tell him a funny joke. He obliged. I now have about a half a dozen accounts (I keep inviting myself) with each able to invite 50 people. The funny thing is, after two or three days, all the invites replenish back up to 50. So at this point, I could create an infinite amount of accounts.
Anyway, it's nice to see Yahoo! offering up 1GB accounts. It's about time.
Dang. Too bad I hadn't gotten mine earlier. $600? Don't know why people can't wait a little to recieve something, it was obvious it wasn't going to remain exclusive like that. But I guess it depends on how many people you sold to. If it was only about $10 a person I guess that wouldn't be too terrible. I would take Gmail over Yahoo e-mail any day, no matter what the size difference is.
people will buy stuff on ebay for the pure sake of winning, you go to walmart and buy lets say a pot for $15 if you bid $14.50 for it on ebay someone will pay $16 just to beat you

So your saying that If I opened up a website that is the same concept of Ebay that only auctions off, lets say.... Dirty Socks, you belive that someone would bid, just to win. I really dont think so. I think it is more of forgetting what is going on, I know that I have made a mistake a few times of a decimal place in what I thought the value of the object I was bidding was. All in all I think EBay is only for people trying to sell things, if you start bidding, make sure you are not near me.

Yep. Google is famous for testing things out until they are sure that they are perfect...unlike a 'soft' that I know of. I can't wait for google's new OS, [rumor] paypal alternative and their map system.

Yeah, I heard that they hired the Lead Designer (or was it Programmer?) of Firefox to work on the new internet browser that google is supposedly making. And I now use their map system (http://maps.google.com/ a lot more often then either MapQuest or Yahoo Maps. Same goes for Gmail, I've completely switched over to that for almost all my email needs. It just seems to me that Google puts a lot more time and effort into their projects and it seems to pay off. But what is this about an OS Kiamde? I heard about the internet browser but nothing about an OS.

First of all, the rumored browser is going to be a FF extension.
Well, google is buying all these programing companies that have helped design various Linux versions and hired some ex-microsoft programmers. Look at what they are doing. A mapsystem, mail system, search engine, possible messenger, and a paypale-esque system. Sounds a lot like Microsoft. Why wouldn't they make their own OS or at least their own version of Linux? Loogle anyone?

Since when were gmail invites sold on ebay for $50.00? 75,000 were given away on the first day.
