Just hope people are putting away 10% of their salary every paycheck like they should.

People CAN chose to buy it or not, I just thought some people would realise that paying 100$ for some plastic or metal statue crafted in china by children, that has a real material value of 1$ to 4$, doesn't really make them happier but only satisfy their greed.

For some possibly. If your gonna talk greed and try and say your taking the high road isn't there perhaps more important causes to champion? Poverty, Child labor, Animal cruelty, starvation? I really don't care about anything but myself, just like everyone else who posted and gave THEIR opinion and tried to defend it.

It's just an opinion after all and it's all based on our own self like someone else said.

My opinion is that after the purchase, you feel better. Once you receive the box, you'll feel ripped off. Then you'll cry that you got ripped off. Then you'll say: that damn bastard was right, but the hell, I'll go whipe my ass with a 100$ bill?

Cause if that's what people do, whipe their ass with 100$ bills, they must be really happy people!

I mean, REALLY?? Are you kidding me??

Many games have had CEs......almost always expensive, and loaded with schwag that is interesting to collectors who don't mind shelling out the cash for something cool.

I ordered a CE this morning for myself, and a regular copy for my son. It just so happens that I collect Star Wars stuff, and the price for me is worth it. The contents of the CE were VERY CLEARLY LISTED, and it was very worth it to me.

THAT, and before you go calling Gentle Giant's work "cheap plastic crap made in china by children", do some research and you might find that their stuff is pretty damn high quality.

I'm sorry, but I detect someone with a bone to pick with Bioware or EA, or maybe a GW2 fan, trying in vain to put a dent in the sales of this game.

Nope, $100 gives me one really good theater or symphony ticket and then $25 toward my second one.

Granted, everyone has a opinion, but you came here and posted your opinion that others should not purchase something. Thats entreating others to follow your example. In that case, you have to be prepared for people to say no (and not always nicely)

Indeed, I do spend a lot of money in restaurant or movie theaters as well, things that can be enjoyed on the spot.

I fully respect collectors, I myself have some original paintings and hand crafted wood sculptures I brought back from cuba.

I'm just giving my opinion on this particular item.

If you value a cheap piece of plastic or metal at 80$ yes it might be worth it, might look nice on your counter. You might as well go to a dolar store and buy some toy and call it your unique collector edition toy.

I think that would make more sense.

You realise there is a market for these kind of "cheap pieces of plastic" right? Collector who are willing to pay anything for limited editions of Star Wars stuff... Im gonna ebay my Statue for 150$ and enjoy the game. :P
