Community?

Hey guys...

I played in the beta and loved it. Been busy working and playing Eve part time. Was curious though how the community is in Rift? I played WOW for a few years and half the reason I left was the community. Has that community moved over to Rift?

I'm not too sure what to think about the commuinty.  I've been playing since early release and, in my opinion, it has changed.  I like the game but people are just not that friendly.  I have a level 50, a 35, and a 24.  When I was in a guild it was fine because people knew who I was, however our server became a test server and I, and whoever was left, transefered to a more populated server.  I left my guild because too many people stopped playing.  Now that I am a solo person looking for a guild all I get is horrible comments from people from PUG's and more sarcastic overtones which reminds me of the barrens in WoW.  It was not like this at the beginnig but, from my expereince, it has been as of late.  I am looking for a mature guild so I don't have to deal with these types of poeple but it is getting difficult.

In any MMO with a good sized population, you will end up with some strange folks in general chat. I have had nothing but very positive results once in a guild thou. Joining a good guild should always be a priority if you want to avoid the kids "messing around" in general chat.

The gaming community in general has been a little bit more cautious lately. Regardless of the game title.  The economy, the significant changes in different countries I believe are behind it. The Rift community is very good. Also if you are in a decent guild the community is fantastic :-D
