I got a idea from what the thread about pop and death of Vanguard.  I say we just see how many people would play Vanguard at all even now with the bad gms. Also to get it alive again to spreed the fun of it. I havent gave it a shot myself yet because i want to see if its revived more.  Just post your comments on it and see what happens.

A little verbalage always helps but sign me up.  And before the arguments, gotta see some willing from the developer before spending my time/ cash.

i assume you meant bad development or management of the game, not 'bad gms'. VG has some of the best GMs ive met in a game.

other than that the representative from the Great State of Tennessee votes, Aye!

Ended up being a great game imo, despite what some ppl may say. Was sad i quit playing it. still looking for a craft system/ community equal to it. i love pvp but i played only pve in vg and had a blast doing it.

Strange how people keep replying to these threads as if the game is dead and gone. For those who don't play Vanguard, the game is starting to have a revival. Quite a few players have recently came back and I am seeing alot of new people as well. There are some great guilds running contest at least once a month as well. The GM's are top notch.

Once you leave the trial island the game really opens up. The player base is one of the best  for being mature, friendly and helpful. If you are new to the game do yourself a favor and head to Mistmore in Thestra. Turn the music off and just listen to the sounds and look at the scenery. Other games just don't come close to making you feel like your in a real world. The tree's sway in the wind. Even the grass moves with the breeze!

And there are hidden out of the way places all over that you just find by exploring. Remember when games use to require you to explore?  It's an old school kinda game and that's what alot of people seem to be looking for now after trying the hot flavor of the month games that keep getting pumped out.

To be sure the game is still not perfect but even in it's present state it beats most of the newer games by a long shot. What would it hurt for you to try it? Pay for a month and get off the trial isle. If you don't like it cancel and all you have lost is $14.95 and some of your free time. On the other hand Vanguard could just be the game you have been looking for all along.

As you can tell from my post I still play it and have been since it launched because for me this is the closest I have come to reliving that EQ feeling from way back, when everything was new and you had to figure things out for yourself.

grow up no pettition will change (or has in any  game as a matter of fact)  the state of the game or the fututre of it.

vanguard buisness model wasnt successfull obviously, it crashed into pieces and its unlikely to be re animated

    move on

I kinda disagree.  They chose to drop that part of their business.  It had and has (maybe) every chance of being successful, but they chose not to support it.  To be a twat, if I offered you a hoover but told you you would never get a spare part would you buy off me or a competitor?

ill sign .. but this thread is pointless.

LFD tools are great for cramming people into content, but quality > quantity.
I am, usually on the sandbox .. more "hardcore" side of things, but I also do just want to have fun. So lighten up already :)

Actually this is the best time to start putting pressure on SoE to do something with Vanguard.. they won't have SWG next year and that Station Pass lineup is getting thin and old

If you want Vanguard to get to a state you think it deserves, you gotta put your money where your mouth is. Buy a month and send  GM's a message that they will continue to get your hard earned cash if,  SOE give's Vanguard more development.

Got a plan for that if this thread comes out with enough people signing and saying they will come back if SOE does.

Am I right in saying I need to purchase game before subscribing I'm sure trial download is just island? Anyone posting here but not playing have no intentions of doing so. Vanguard on the growth, in my opinion people fed up being spoon fed by pure theme parks, vanguard is group based brilliant community too, and challenging which is refreshing.

Ex. myth of soma, legend of mir, mu online and eudemons online player.

Current game : Runescape (until pc build is complete)

Vanguard spoonfeeds you too. It even has been made simpler over time. The island streamlines the starting experience (the older starting areas force you to explore and look around more). How equipment works has been changed too. Its lvling from questhub to the next questhub just like in other themepark MMO's. Diplomacy has never been expanded enough and crafting is the only thing you can do without having to do combat much.

Ive been subbed to Vanguard two times. At release when I left because the game was broken and almost unplayable because of performence. But I really liked the game concept so I came back later on. Performance was greatly improved so I could enjoy it for a while. But slowly I noticed that there was no development. Bugs took ages to fix, even newly introduced bugs. At that time I learned to not pay for potential anymore, so at some point I left again and just watched the updates to check for real improvement.

The game could make money for Sony if some attention and new content were added. It could make alot of money with a remake and relaunch. ie: Planetside 2.

We shall see if the good folks at Sony see the same thing as I do.

What the heck, right?  I mean... petitions saved Star Trek TOS season 3!!!!

What's that you say?  TOS season 3 contained some of the worst drek ever produced by any ST sub-franchise at any time?

Oh yeah, there's that too. :)

/sign just for the people who actually liked this game. Played it at Launch and it was terrible and can really understand why it might have 1000 players left maybe.
