If you are just wanting a good general purpose gaming machine, and are hoping that it will play SWTOR well as well as other games, that's a bit different, but nothing can guarantee that anything you build today will run SWTOR well when it finally ships. There are many, many MMO's that brought current hardware to it's knees when it finally did release (EQ2, Vanguard, FFXIV, etc), and people that bought machines in anticipation 3-6 months out found out their hardware was more or less obsolete before the game even came out.

It sounds like you don't really know what you want. Different people have very different notions of what it means to run a game well. Some games are badly coded, so that the hardware needed to run them smoothly at max settings doesn't exist. Even the notion of max settings is rather nebulous; does that entail three 2560x1600 monitors in Eyefinity, with 8x SSAA turned on?
So let me tell you what you should be looking for: name a budget, and request the best gaming computer you can get in that budget. For Intel+Nvidia to make sense, the budget needs to be at least $1000 excluding peripherals if you build your own, or substantially larger if you're going to additionally pay someone else to put it together for you. Speaking of which, unless you've got a huge budget such that paying someone $200 to assemble parts is no big deal to you, you really should consider building your own.

For an Nvidia buid, I went with two cards
2 x MSI 560 GTX TI's twin frozer, GPU, 1 gig GDDR5 Ram each
ASUS Maximus IV Rev 3.0, mobo (for the 2 x16 lanes)
Seasonic 850w Gold, PSU
and the rest was the same as above
Price was $2141.66 probably do the job a little beter than above, maybe/maybe not, but not $500 dollars worth, to my thinking.Price at New Egg $1762.88
These dont include any tax, rebates, or shipping
Both builds include Windows 7 64 bit (Builders version from newegg)
PS these can be tweaked to get better price, Im just going off limited knowledge, and memory.
And I know squat about monitors, I just use what I can get my hands on
Oh and both had the free Overclock, thats why the Zalman CPU cooler.
I know its hard to know exactly what is required ATM to max it out but I wanted to state my intentions. Also I prefer intel/geforce!

the task is impossible right now. the "hardware" you are looking for (much like the game you are looking at) arent released yet:D the chip would likely be a sandybridge extream or a zambezi. the video would likely be a AMD 7000 series. but you dont want AMD so you will have to suffer an inferior video card with a much bigger powersupply requirement:D
anyway, the discussion is moot since neither the game nor the hardware you are looking for is currently on sale:D
