Firefall to launch in December
Got this quote from MMOCulture.
Here some of the quote,
According to an interview by Tencent Games with Red 5 Studio's CEO, Mark Kern, the Firefall for North America will being this December.
He also stated that the overall development for Firefall is now more than 50% complete, with PvE content well over 75% done and map development stands at 90% wrapped up. The Firefall team is also currently testing some new ideas and features to implement. Meanwhile, Firefall China will only see the Closed Beta phase begin next year.

Surprised the hype-o-meter for Firefall is not higher?? The actiony-combat looks very promising.

So much games coming out around that time - if it came out around the summer the player base would be massive
And according to the quote here, they consider the game "launched" now, with an open beta coming soon.
