If you are definitively sure about canceling your account, simply phone your bank (the one from wich you have the credit card) and tell them to stop any further charges from MxO's charging name (happears in you VISA/MASTERCARD monthly bill).. you may even state the reasons, which in my opinion can be considered scamming. A MMORPG company must give the player the choice to cancel a account after the 30days tryout period or else they are kinda scamming the players, in a way not to let them cancel the accounts.
I WARN THAT TELLING YOUR BANK TO STOP THIS KIND OF PAYMENTS WILL PROLLY MAKE YOU GET BANNED FROM MxO bUT SINCE YOU WILL NEVER WANT TO PLAY IT AGAIN.. DO IT!
More.. once it goes into Sony's control, you will proly be able to cancel it inside your Station account, so till then :P wait a little more i guess.

Uhhhh MxO does give you the choice to cancel before the 30 day period....you just need to call them....
And I canceled in about 1 minute...took my hand...typed in the number...talked to a friendly guy who agreed when I told him the game needed work...and thats that. Had a confirmation e-mail right after I hung up and I have never looked back.

-.- international calls are kinda expensive you know. that's the whole problem, also it's stupid that nowadays, a company that wants to run a MMORPG doesnt knows how to make a cancel option online?

So I really don't get the issue here ? When I canceled my account it took less then 5 minutes and the person on the line was extremely polite to me. If you would incure charges for the call you can use the support email and they will do it electronically. By the way, all this information is available at the website and took me 1 minute to find.
Important Information regarding Posting and You
Is the game really that bad that everyone is cancelling? I've never played it, but I thought about it. I guess now I won't even attempt it. Don't need the hassle.
Well I didn't think the game was all that bad and did have fun with it, I cancelled because there was too much lag (especially combat lag) for my taste. Will try it again once SOE seems to have a handle on it and maybe a little more mission variety gets introduced.
Cancelling wasn't hard, just call the number, tell the person why you were dissatisfied wit MxO and thats all she wrote. Granted I would have prefered the option to just cancel from the account section of the menu.
