DnL is a MMOG that promises a lot, but when I saw it, I was not very impressed.  The game features a huge world with no loading zones and long view distances, and while the terrain was nicely done, it was largely empty in many spots, and when the game launches, all of it will be played out on the open landscape; no underground caves or dungeons.  Moreover, the game is going to be largely open PvP, with in-game content supplemented by a variety of live events.  Is this kind of game really going to have wide appeal?  I doubt it.  Expect DnL to duke it out with games like Irth and RYL.

Think that just confirms everything :)

This game will be duking it out and kicking the shit out of the  current mmorpg leaders, I think.  The underground/underwater content will be added later.  And what's wrong with open pvp?  It adds to the risk and thrill of the game.  What I mean to say is STFU.

Just confirms you're narrow-mindeness. Stick to WoW. You'll be far happier there.

If you mean by "open" PvP that everyone can kill everyone, then DnL is not an open PvP game, but a KvK (Kingdom v's Kingdom) game.

It is Dark v's Light! Deep in your own kingdom, conflict will be rare, most battles between the kingdoms will be at the frontiers.

Many player types (social, explorer, merchant, crafter, miner, town builder, etc) will benifit from this arrangement, simply because they will mostly have peace deep with in Kingdoms to pursue these careers, and at the frontiers you will find mostly fighters, and some adventurous explorers, ambitious merchants, brave crafters, fearless miners, and visionary town builders image

Mate is in beta actually i played it and the game is just simply alful!

Apart from the spell effects looking like they came from MSpaint, theres no questing or little :

The game looks horrible and is very empty! Without instanes then it will be pretty boring.

    Too many fanboys

Hey dumbshit.  It's not done yet.  Not all the content has been added.  And the graphics are irrelevant to the gameplay.  The lack of quests sounds like a good thing to me.  Quests are only good for fillers to keep people busy during the slow hours.

I never believe anyone who says 'my mate is in beta'.
