Pristontale closing down

Me and my friend have heard a rumor that Pristontale is closing down. Is this true or no?

Yep, last I heard they are starting to loose a lot of players to ROSE Online. More people were playing PT up to 39 and just repeating and getting bored. My son and 3 others of his friends use to play PT and now they all left and just recently started playing ROSE Online. He was just telling me that a few others he knew from PT also just started playing ROSE.

Their are rumors that PT is shuting down, but I don't think it will happen very soon. I think infact they still have more subs than AC does LOL. However, ROSE is becoming more popular. Just the newbie areas are packed with new players, just like PT use to be.

I would not be suprised if PT closed down because players are leaving.

I paid for full year subscription and left four months before it was up.  why?  Because of the lame drops in the 75+ dungeons and zones.  for example... getting n00b items like stuff you get in alot lower level zones.

And yes i do realize that flooding game with higher level items isn't great either, but for me finding an upgrade now and then keeps me interested.

Of course you should have to work hard to get good items, it will be more rewarding in long run, but to see the lame items over and over, never getting rewarded  made me not want to play PT any more so i just moved on.

Other than that, i did think PT was very good in alot of other ways.   Too bad admins/GMs was way too tight on drops.

Was all done for economy but what good is economy if you got tons of gold but can't even buy items you want?  And if you look on this sites poll most players don't care about economy in games.

they would be smart to keep it up till ROSE goes p2p. because ROSE is not worth paying for

If nothing else there will always be server emulators to go to and play.

how many mmo's have closed down?  They might consolidate and have to lay people off... they might move everyone to jsut one server, etc...  but there's not too many MMO's in mmo history that have had to shut down due to no income coming in.  even those still kept kicking for awhile...

My sons play PT, and I log in every now and then just to see their new stuff. I've not seen anything to suggest they were shutting down though.
    If it's true, it's a shame.
