lol i can't believe you just asked someone to be a guinea pig. It is a huge thread and I don't know if someone posted a pic of just changing ntfs settings.
After a little bit of google: Here

The more cache you have the better, unless you are low on RAM

It will allow you to use more cache for the NTFS “pool”, which should increase performance if the system opens and closes a lot of files all the time

Good thing you saw it. It's my mistake, I copied it from the wrong registry file (I have one to tweak the registry and one to restore it to defaults)
I also corrected it on my post, it has to be 1

Thanks!
I don't have a RAID setup, I have an single Intel X25-E 64Gb on ACHI mode, but I am pretty sure that they apply for a RAID setup also.
it was jut to confirm that it did indead smoot out gameplay
i did it on my system the number 17 .just wanted to make sure it wasnt just my perception that felt it made game smoother!
NtfsMemoryUsage this one (as the title say just number 17 ignore the rest )
I absolutely can't imagine the overhead to justify having these disabled would be significant on a typical user's home computer. Furthermore, disabling 8.3 compatibility can break a lot of older games and programs.
Now, if your running a high volume multi-terabyte file server with 15+ volumes arrayed, then yes, I could see where NTFS memory and 8.3 file name preservation could present some detrimental impact on your system. If you are really having trouble with your file system on a typical home computer, I'd be willing to bet there is a 98% chance it's malware or virus related, a 2% chance it's a configuration problem or hardware conflict, and not anything to do with default NTFS parameters.
Some of these "tips" just aren't good ideas: sure, they may make your disk benchmark faster, but at the expense of an overall system slowdown (particularly disabling SuperFetch/PreFetch, disabling the page file, and disabling 8.3 compatibility). Read the disclaimer at the top of the page, and heed it:
Not only that but he uses Internet Explorer WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A little off topic, but while your minds are in the mode, what do these tweaks look like, ok, not ok, worthless, dangerous?
Particularly, the ones under the, "safe," category?

might have its use but for a regular joe gamer?kadaitcha.cx or speedguide.net would be better advised and even then only to a limited few take the tip here on this thread i created you will need a minimum of 4 gb and would be best used with 8 gb in my experience .
