One of the highlights of Rusty Hearts is the ability for players to customize there characters in hundreds of ways. Customizable gear and weapons can be obtained by collecting loot cards, talking to crafting NPCs, and defeating enemies.
There are also a number of full or half-body costumes that you can wear if you really want to stand out. One of the game’s early quests has you collecting fabric pieces in pursuit of a giant teddy bear costume. With the costume, and you can wear the entire full-body costume, just the head, or just the body. It’s totally up to you!
During your adventure, you are also bound to come across a great deal of players with various styles of cardboard box heads. Similar to the bear costumes, you must collect the necessary items as they are dropped from defeated enemies and bring them to the right person to craft for you. There are some really funky cardboard head styles (the Elephant Head is my favorite), and you should definitely try and get some in your inventory if you can.

This game would intrigue me more if it was called Rusty Trombone.
Is it that bad?
The game that forces you to choose between 3 playable characters is touting its character customization. ...Marketing folks are shameless.
yes you start the game and HALF the characters look like you and are in the same pose.how hard woudl it be to offer hmm hair color at least sheesh.
looks like No More Heroes
Gear and weapons. Their marketing department is very deceptive here. Sorry, I didn't like the game since I got to experience it's true nature. I mean set aside that everyone looks the same, they have no shame and call it customization and innovative, but seductively add "items and weapons only".
I struggle not with life, money, emotions, and world, but against old mindsets and selves to be proven obsolete in a age and time of rapid changes. Go create fun, so you can have fun.
Id rather pay 15 bucks a month and have the ability to customize my character at the creation screen.
Don't forget to mention that they've already stated they're not interested in removing their crappy stamina system. That's right, the game has a stamina system, just like Vindictus, Atlantica, and Dungeon fight all had in the past. Apparently, these idiots at Perfect World can't take a hint from one of the most anti-community companies in the business that STAMINA IS FOR IDIOTS. Just like those idiots at Elsword, and just like those idiots on Warcraft that limit the dungeons you can clear per day.
I also found it odd how this game didn't offer even the most basic form of character customization (different hair styles and facial features), but I guess that's what the cash shop is for. Well if they were gonna do that they should have just given players to pay $10-15 outright to unlock a complete character customization suite, instead just the generic costumes and hair skins we get.
Wow you can wear different outfits for different looks! The innovation is insane, no game offers that!
The cake is a lie.
Their idea of customization is that you can quest for a giant teddy bear outfit?
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.
Is it just me, or does that guy with the dark hair and long coat remind anyone else of Yuri from Shadow Hearts?
