I'm not sure if this is true or not but, I've heard plenty of rumors that this is really being developed. Just wondering what you guys think.
I did a relatively fast google search and discovered this site.

I've heard about this. My friends uncle has a crappy car laying around and they are going to try to make it work.
BMW 'already' have numerous proto-type versions of this car and have already announced, of course these cars cost millions upon millions of pound but it exists.
The Hydrogen powered car isnt a dream its real, Hydrogen goes in and water actually is the waste product, water comes out of the exhaust. In the video i watched during a Geography lesson the top guy at the exhibition proved that the water that was the waste product is also drinkable.
The funny thing also is that these cars look like normal BMW's you'd never guess that they where Hydrogen powered.
Hydrogen cars have been in existence for years. Engineers are trying to make hydrogen fuel cells that use less platinum and cost less. It will be 10-15 years before affordable hydrogen fuel cells enter the market.

Yes, if you visit the BMW plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, they have a museum (although they call it "The BMW Zentrum") that has all of the old BMW's as well as the Hydrogen car. There's pictures of a bunch of other Hydrogen BMW's too.
Kia, ya really got to stop taking words out of my mouth.
Damn....what he said.

My brother was a mechanic up in New Jersey and one of his long time clients had an old Oldsmobile Eighty Eight (it was late 60's early 70's model). This guy LOVED his car so much, when he decided to buy a new car in 1995, he got himself a brand new Oldsmobile 88. When he purchased the vehicle, he drove it to where my brother worked to "have it inspected to make sure it would be ok for his trip". The guy was an older man, maybe in his 60's and he trusted the mechanic shop where my brother worked. Knowing it was a new car and all, they kind of just gave it a quick look over and gave him the thumbs up for his trip.
A day after he purchased the vehicle, he drove to Florida in it to visit some friends for a couple of days. Well, about 5 hours into the trip (it's like an 17 hour ride if you drive straight through), he noticed his gas gauge had not budged. Thinking it was broken, he stopped for gas. When he went to fill it up, he wasn't even able to put a gallon of gas into it. The pump kept clicking like it was full.
He got back in and continued his journey and he kept an eye on his gas gauge. He tried several times on his trip there, while he was there and his trip back to put gas into this vehicle. His receipts for the whole trip showed he put only about 6-7 gallons of gas in his car. When he got back to New Jersey 4 days later, he had 17 messages on his answering machine and his machine was full. Apparently someone made a "mistake" somewhere and gave him the "wrong car". When he called them back, they had someone deliver his Oldsmobile 88 to his house and pick up the "wrong car". They said the car he drove to Florida was a prototype vehicle and didn't meet safety standards. They apologized profusely and said they were "thankful" he was not injured on his trip.
Had it not been my brother who related this story to me, I would have called it a load of crap. But since my brother saw the vehicle before it went to Florida and saw a different vehicle afterwards, he was pretty convinced it was a true story as well. We pondered for a bit on what other "enhancements" this "prototype" vehicle had.
I'm sure someone got fired for that mix up.
