in City of Heroes
Im playing the trial right now but already I've started losing interest, there just doesn't seem to be much to do. I've been on a team or two, done a few missions, killed some baddies but it just doesn't seem to satisfy...So my question is what keeps you hooked to this game?

    The story arcs keep me playing. It's like watching one big novel unfold as you do the missions. I also enjoy the friends I make when teaming. I'm also a big comic book fan, so it's fun to go in there and actually escape for a while and pretend I'm a superhero. :)

    I think, like most MMORPGs, the skills you unlock at each level keeps some players hooked. And each skill is something new to play with.

    From my own experience, my desire to get my travel power kept me hooked. Then the travel power itself made things easier.

    In the beginning the levels come fairly quickly, but eventually you notice how far you are from getting the next skill. That's where the same play you enjoyed doing before - now becomes a grind. And since it is more of the same - that's usually a sign to move on.

    I realized while playing this that getting into a good Super Group makes a HUGE difference, especially if there are many active players. Im on the Protector server. We have a total of 3 SG's just to keep all of the players together lol. We have over 40 lvl 50 characters and we accept all new comers. If you do deside the get the game, send a tell to Burning Pyro and ill help you out with whatever you need.

    I keep playing just to try all the different AT's. IMO, things really don't get fun until you get to lvl 14 and get your travel powers. Until then, it really is quite boring because it is slow going.

    I also forgot to add, that when you hit level 7, go to Perez Park. That is one of the fastest ways to level up to 14. All you need is a tank, and some AoE Damage Dealers (fire tank, fire blaster, Spines Scrapper) and maybe some radiation controllers/defenders and you are good to go :)

    I wouldn't advise going to PP at level 7 solo. I've died more times than I care to think of in that place. LOL Definitely go with a team!
